Cascade presents the 300W LED Aquarium Heater by PENN-PLAX.
This heater easily maintains healthy water temperature within a 1° accuracy,
and can be set anywhere between 68 ℉ and 89 ℉, by using the red control knob.
Our Cascade Aquarium Heaters are factory set to 76 ℉,
and are safe for either freshwater or saltwater fish tanks.
The 300W model works great for 55 – 75 gallon tanks.
Visible & Accurate Temperature Scale:
With an easy to read setting scale in both Celsius and Fahrenheit,
it’s easy to see the temperature adjustments being made.
To increase the temperature, rotate the control knob counter-clockwise,
and to decrease, rotate it clockwise;
or, follow the + and – symbols located near the control knob.

Orange Pilot Light:
Our Cascade Heat Aquarium Heaters feature a pilot light that indicates the heating cycle status.
This means that it will go on and off by itself as the thermostat cycles the heating element on and off.
In other words, orange light = heater is on.
Similarly, these aquarium heaters make a faint click when turning off.

Additional Features:
In addition to being composed of heavy-duty and shock-resistant glass,
these fully submersible aquarium heaters can be placed either horizontally or vertically.
There’s also a built-in minimum water level indicator at the top, colored in red.

Please Note:
Do not operate heater outside of aquarium, and never submerse a hot heater into an aquarium – only submerse a cool heater.
After placing the heater into your aquarium, wait 15 minutes before turning on.
This allows the thermostat to adjust itself to water temperature.

Measurements:
Overall Length = 13.5”
Overall Diameter = 1.1”
Suction Cup Diameter = 1.25”
Wattage = 300W
Voltage = 110V

Customers say

Customers find the aquarium heater to be of good quality, easy to adjust, and consider it worth the money. However, the temperature control and functionality receive mixed reviews – while some say it maintains temperature well, others report it fails to heat tanks properly and stops working properly. Moreover, the heater’s longevity is concerning as it only lasts about 6 months, and customers express concerns about shatter resistance, with multiple reports of it breaking unexpectedly.

    Disappointed
    I ordered back in November of 2024 it was during a cold front we were having and when opening the package there was no insulation at all just a box inside a box the heater was foggy and freezing. Well after it thawed out I put it in the tank and I would say after a month or two it stopped working. Im not sure if the cold had anything to do with it or not but will never repurchase this brand heater

    Filling the barrel with 60F water took about 24 hours (at 50 gallons) to get up to temperature and I was very pleased as a resul
    I actually got this for brewing large 50-gallon batches of beer. I have now switched to doing my fermenting in the winter because even when we had a run of 20 degree weather for 10 days the mash temperature didn’t change at all. It was very consistent the whole way through. Filling the barrel with 60F water took about 24 hours (at 50 gallons) to get up to temperature and I was very pleased as a result.Funny side story, a downstairs neighbor from my business makes Kombucha as his business. He was having trouble keeping his multiple vats at a stable temperature for a consistent product. He now runs 100 55-gallon barrels each with one of these for keeping his product at a consistent temperature which has been great for his business.I still have no idea if it’s any good for aquariums. But great for homebrewing during the winter.

    Ok heater
    Looks nice and sturdy. It was easy to adjust and the suction cups stuck really well to the tank.I’m only giving 4 stars though because it isn’t quite accurate. I bought the 300w for my 75g and I set it at 76 degrees but it barely raised the temp to 74. Now I’ve got it set at 79 and it’s right around 76.

    High quality value priced
    This is a 300 watt heater that was excellent price. Has been in my aquarium 2 months and it keeps my temperature right on the setting I chose. Suction cups work great and quality looks high. Very happy with this product.

    Versatile heater with many applications!
    I convert these for use to heat caustic chemicals by overriding the internal temperature control (some disassembly required) and then connecting to a programmable PID temperature controller. Two 300W heaters raise 4 gallons of solution 20 degrees C in an hour. Much less expensive than industrial heaters that are almost identical.

    It arrived scratched which was disappointing but otherwise I am happy. I am using this as a secondary heater in my 120 gallon aquarium and it works perfectly. It’s preset so I didn’t have to adjust the temperature at all which was nice. Really happy with my purchase.

    Not exactly pleased with this item. While it is as described it does not heat up nearly as much as its predecessor 300 watt heater.

    It arrived with broken glass inside the unit. The glass casing around the metal coils is broken in two places. Not impressed.

    I bought the 300watt heater less than 2 months ago. Not working at all, won’t even turn on.
