Great so far
Ordered to monitor temps for new chicks. Main unit was smaller than I expected, but turned out to be the right size. The outside sensor is attached to the other box. So far, success.

Not accurate
Product is very inaccurate. Mercury thermometer is reading right around 100.5* this thermometer is ranging anywhere from 97* to 106.5* depending on when I decide to check it. Incubating chicken eggs and hoped this would help me keep an eye things especially with the audible alarm, but it is not reliable enough to continue to use. Shipping was fast and item was packaged well.

Good quality for the money
Very good deal for the money. They onlyh thing I don’t like is that the lowest RH is 20%. Otherwise a great little product that seems very accurate to me (am a Mechanical Engineer)

Buy something else
Instructions are terrible, not user friendly. Purchase something else, the only thing that it will do is keep alarming because it won’t accept the settings.

dont like them
the high/low alarm is very annoying and the thresholds are very limited .. you can’t disable it or set the threshold pass or below pre-programmed values

It is ok
I wanted to like this item more than I do, and perhaps my discontent is my own fault. I prefer a simple hydrometer in my dart frog tank. Meaning no setting parameters or alarms. This hydrometer requires a decent amount of programming. If you are looking for something very specifically programmed to your tank, with a loud alarm, then this is for you.

Llegó bien
Llegó en buen estado lo que no me gustó es que tiene una alarma de alerta de cambio de humedad o temperatura muy estridente me parece que va a agotar muy rápido la baterÃa

Purchased to monitor temperature of an incubator. I connected the external sensor and set up the temperature ranges and waited to see if it works. Twenty minutes later the main unit and external sensor are sitting on the table in front of me side by side in the exact same conditions, however the display is showing that they are reading different temperature and humidity. They are beside each other – it makes no sense. They should be reading the same temperature and humidity. Incubating eggs is very sensitive, I donât feel like this product is trustworthy. If needed for a less sensitive application it might be somewhat useful.

This is a somewhat decent temperature and humidity monitor (i.e. thermometer/hygrometer) with 1x remote sensor that seems reasonably well-built and works just fine for the most part (well, except for the display). Alarms can also be set for the temperature and the humidity level for both max and min levels but I have no plans to use them. The overall build quality is moderately decent; typical plastic shell with LCD display; however, the display is amongst of the worst that I’ve seen recently in comparison to most other thermometers/hygrometers that I’ve come across and reviewed. It’s best viewed from the top down and I find it just challenging to read from other directions. Note that it’s not difficult to read in an absolute sense; it’s just bad comparing to others. It would REALLY help if it has a backlit screen though. The base station also has a sensor and it displays the current temperature and humidity level as well as the configured max/min temp and humidity level for the alarm, and it will cycle through the IN (base) and OUT (remote) on 5-sec interval (un-configurable). It will not display (i.e. no cycling between the IN and OUT readings) the temp/RH% for remote sensor if it’s not connected (pic 5). It comes with an AAA battery which I do appreciate although it would’ve been better if this is rechargeable instead.Btw, the base unit has the IN sensor while the remote/detachable sensor is the OUT sensor; however, in the ads it states that the remote sensor is to be placed inside with the base unit outside and that would’ve been REALLY confusing. In terms of accuracy, well, it’s not the greatest but it’s also not the worst; about 1-2°C and 2-4%RH differences between the base and the extension sensor.â¡ ValueAll things considered, this is a somewhat decent temperature and humidity monitor with 1x base station/unit along with 1x sensor. The base unit also has a sensor of its own so this can be used to monitor 2 locations at once although the cord limits how far they could be apart (2 m/6.6 ft) from each other. It’s a bit pricey at $21 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

This is a neat, easy to program and good value two zone terrarium thermometer and hygrometer. The temperature readings seem accurate (I can’t comment on the humidity values, but based on the rest of the build and readings I’m fairly confident in them).BUT BEWARE! There are two sensors, one built into the display device and one at the end of a plug-in lead; that latter sensor is encased within a little housing with a sticky backed pad on it for you to stick it where you will. And this is where the confusion starts… you might assume (as I did, having a similar probe-on-a-wire setup to monitor my tropical fish tank’s temperature via a display outside it) that the “In” reading would be the “in tank” temperature, ie that taken by the wire probe, and that the “Out” reading would be the room temperature outside it, where your display will be. Nope; the “In” reading is the one measured by the display unit, the “Out” is the one measured by the wire probe. That works fine for me, because I am in fact not using this in a terrarium but as an indoor weather station; the “Out” probe is indeed out of the window and measuring the outdoors temperature, while the “In” display unit tells me what my inside room temperature is. However, if you actually are a reptile keeper and you want the “In” to be the “in tank” temperature your pet chameleon is enjoying, you’ll need to have the display inside the tank with him so he can knock it into his water bowl and poop on it, with the wire probe stuck somewhere outside the tank. That seems back to front to me.It’s not a deal breaker as long as you can remember, if you keep the display outside the tank, that In is Out and Out is In.There is also an alarm function for which you can set independent high/low temperature and humidity limits for both In and Out separately; these have a broad enough range that I am indeed able to use it as my home weather station. However, it does not say whether the sensor casing on the wire probe is waterproof so I shall have to put it somewhere the rain can’t get to it.So as I say, if you can work around the non-intuitive sensor setup, this is a good value and effective little unit.

This Reptile Terrarium Hygrometer Thermometer with in/Out Temperature Humidity alarm is perfect for my grow area in my house. The plants I grow need to have the correct temperature and humidity for a good product.Easy to set up and easy to read This takes the worry out of incorrect temperature/humidity readings. Although I donât have a way to compare this with another device the thermometer I use shows the same temperature. For the humidity Iâll have wait and see but so far it seems fine.
