Works like a charm – definitely recommend
Problem: I recently got a new kitten with razor-sharp claws.Solution: Clipping them only seemed to make the problem worse. When I came across this nail file for pets I knew I wanted to give it a try!Impression: My first impression was that the box was heavier than I expected the product to be. Unpacking It I realized it came with a set of clippers – I hadn’t actually realized that. The clippers are well made and include a safety lock and safety guard so they can’t accidentally injure your or your pet. However, they are much too big for use for my kitten so I set them aside. The nail grinder its self is also sturdy, appears well made, and has a digital display. I haven’t worked out all the details of the digital display yet. The product came charged and includes a charging cord. There are three included griding attachments. Two are for ‘super hard’ nails of larger pets and one is ‘super soft’ for smaller pets. I’ll be honest, I cannot tell the difference between the three attachments. They all look identical and are not labeled. Finally, there is a cloth storage bag included which is nice.How does it work: I tried it on my own nail at first to before trying it on my kitten. It is powerful, I immediately saw a little dust fly off the end of my nail but it also did not seem too harsh. It definitely makes noise and I thought it might scare my cat so I first let him sit on my lap a few times and turned it on next to him so he’d get used to the sound. After trying that a few times I sat him on my lap and tried the first nail. Just a brief touch. I can’t say he loved it, was definitely a little alarmed, but he didn’t run away and it made his razor-sharp nail smooth and rounded on the end. I was able to do all the nails within about a half hour time period. I let him come and go on my lap as he pleased and every time he came over I got another nail or two.Pros: Easy to use, well made, had the outcome I desired.Cons: I can’t tell the difference between the grinding wheels. I would have preferred to know for sure I was using the softest one. But the outcome was fine.Final note: My older cat got something out of it too. The delivery box was in my opinion a bit too small for her, but she finds it a perfect fit.Definitely recommend.

Good quality made material, love that it has 3 speeds, Not loud at all for more nervous pups.. I have 2 pitties. My male (80-90lbs) I have yet to see how thats going to go. Last time we did his nails me and my husband had to sit on him tonget it done.. and since then hes put on about 20 or more lbs. So we shall see.. my female (40-50lbs) is good with things, she minds a little better than he does. So I was able to get her to sit there. Whether she liked it or not, thats another story but she was not afraid or just not letting it happen in the first place. So that I was super happy about. If your pups anxious and scared this i think would be a good filer to introduce to them. Its not rough on the nails. Comes with 2 bits and 2 sized heads… the light is a HUGE help… overall I do recommend.. happy with my purchase. I would buy again… however I do not use the manual nail clippers. They just really make me so nervous. I worked with animals n vets offices before and still i have never liked to clip animals nails with them.. So easy to do damage and if your NOT familiar with how their nails are to be clipped, serious injury could happen. I would not recommend. We have concrete at our home so the dogs nails do stay filed for the most part however the dewclaw does get longer and i just file it down completely no clipping…

I Will Never Go Back To Clippers
I love this grinder. My dogs don’t always love it as much as I do, but I can’t even get near them with a clipper. The first time I used it on one of my dogs, he resisted for a bit and then fell asleep. Now I do one to two claws at a time to help them both get used to it.The tool is fairly quiet. Not silent, but also not loud. It did come with clippers, but I doubt I will be using them. A cloth bag came with the grinder for easy storage.

Doesnât hold a charge
Quiet, yes. Works well- when itâs fully charged. But weâve only had this 6 months and it does not hold a charge for longer than 3-4 minutes on high. About enough to get through 1 paw.
