I’ve tested this out and my horses & baby donkey LOVE IT!
This shampoo cleans my horses coats thoroughly, it suds nicely, rinses out easily and removes the flakey dry skin on their legs that they tend to sometimes get in the summer months when I lightly scrub with a soft bristle brush. I havenât seen their coats look so healthy and nourished like this for quite awhile. Iâm assuming itâs because it contains coconut, jojoba and aloe which are all fantastic and healthy ingredients for horses coats. NOW FOR THE TEST: The smell is nice, a very soft lavender scent which I actually think my horses really enjoy. Iâve used this shampoo twice now and my 17 yr old OTTB and my 2 yr old baby BLM donkey literally start napping while Iâm still in the middle of drying and brushing. I thought maybe it was just in my head with noticing them relaxing and getting sleepy while bathing them with this shampoo so I decided to test it out.About a month later when I felt like they needed another bath I switched back over to the previous shampoo that I had been using for a few years now and there was no signs of lazy eyes, sleepiness, etc.Cut to, a few weeks later after some rains and dirty rolling horses I pulled this shampoo out again and Iâm not kidding⦠their heads starting lowering about 4-5 minutes into bathing, eyes got heavy, nostrils relaxed and both were resting on one leg. They truly love it!A little goes a long way, thereâs no greasy leftover residue that dust can cling to and it also leaves their manes and tails soft and easily brushable. Iâve let a few people borrow it and they were really impressed on how shiny their horses looked after using it. The shampoo leaves their coats just as shiny as coat shine sprays do.I find it particularly useful during showing season when the horses are bathed more often as thereâs no harsh chemicals to worry about with drying out their skin, and another bonus I discovered is that itâs perfect for washing wool saddle pads too!An excellent product and great staple to keep in your tack box. Definitely a new fan of Pure Soleâs Shampoo. ðx5

Great smelling and works well to remove dirt and loose hair
The bottle handle was not the best, seemed to leak a bit after awhile. But the scent is wonderful, it makes a rich lather and our horse don’t react to being scrubbed and rinsed off with it. Both the brown/white quarter horse and the coal black Russian warmblood love to roll in the dirt and get muddy if the ground is wet. We don’t show them, but like to keep their coats clean, and this product does just that. 5 Stars!!

Nice Shampoo
After a week of heavy rain and rolling around this horse was ready for a bath. She always requires a wash, rinse, and repeat as she gets the dirt well embedded lol.. I thought I had taken a picture of the area after a stronger rinse but I cannot find it. It definitely did a better job of showing the post wash difference. I used it as a spray. The spray option was nice but the attachment kept trying to unscrew when I was holding in one hand. When I held my other hand underneath it was fine so I think it was just me trying to spray and film at the same time. It actually did a good job after the first application. Once the area was clean the haircoat felt nice to the touch. I liked the scent as well. I also used this on a bay but of course there really is not a visual comparison. But the rinse water was quite dirty lol. It cleaned the area well and also left it feeling nice. It comes with a flip cap option to squirt the product but I did not try it. The ingredients look to make this a better product for the haircoat than less costly options perhaps. I will be using this on other horses and expect the same good results.
