Worked well, good value
The build quality of this de-shedding tool is pretty good, considering the price point. There are two sizes of teeth, allowing me to try this on both my dog (long-haired Australian Shepherd) and my shorthaired cats. This tool worked very well, especially on my dog. The amount of fur removed was so great that it was almost alarming, but he sat calmly for it and didn’t seem to feel any discomfort.

Asnfanl Dual-Sided Dog Shedding Blade
I ordered this for my constantly shedding dogs, but it works well on the cat too. Itâs not as sturdy as similar ones Iâve used in the past, but it still gets the job done. I feel like it works better on the softer coats, as my Belgian mal mix has coarser, thicker fur with an undercoat. This doesnât necessarily get to that under-layer, but it does still get all that loose stuff on top. It can be used with the handle like any other brush, or opened to cover a larger area. Pretty versatile, pretty effective, definitely worth the $8 listing price.

Okay for Light Shedding – Not Great for Double Coats
I had high hopes for this dual-sided shedding blade, especially since itâs marketed as effective for thick and double coats. Unfortunately, it didnât live up to expectations with my dogs. It worked somewhat on my Labradorâs short coat, pulling a bit of loose hair during light grooming, but it wasnât very effective overall. It did absolutely nothing for my Husky, whose thick undercoat was basically untouched. The blade is technically usable on cats, but it feels bulky and may not be ideal for smaller or more sensitive pets. Itâs also not suited for removing mats – just light surface shedding. While it may help a little during shedding season for low-shedding breeds, itâs not a strong option for heavier shedders. That said, the handle is comfortable and easy to grip, and I could see it being more useful on animals like horses or large livestock. Overall, itâs fine for mild grooming, but if you’re dealing with serious fur volume, this likely wonât cut it.

Iâve used this both on my dogs and on my horses! Works pretty decent, isnât my favorite grooming tool and the handle kept coming apart but over all it works for what it is. It grooms, removes dirt, it gets the job done.

Lightweight, easy to use, and it gets the hair off
I tried this shedding blade first on our long-haired cat, and it readily removed hair without upsetting her at all.Then I tried it on my 28-year-old Quarter Horse, who apparently thinks that Winter Is Coming, because he’s already starting to grow more hair just in case it gets cold. In Arizona. *eyeroll*Anyway, it worked well on both animals, was simple to use, and it’s lightweight and small enough that it would be good for kids to use, as well.Instead of having one notched edge and one smooth edge, like equine shedding blades tend to have, this one has 2 different sizes of notches. Both sides are well tooled so that you don’t have to worry about cutting yourself, or irritating your animal’s skin.And it works well with the pieces of the handle separated to allow the blade to be straighter and cover more area with each stroke and with the handle connected, making it simple to use with one hand.

This is an excellent tool to help me with my shedding great Pyrenees. My dog enjoys the brushing and this is easy to hold and grabs much fur.

This shedding tool is very lightweight. The plastic handle comes apart so that you can use it with both hands. The stainless steel blade is actually screwed into the handle and it is secure. Thereâs a track that runs down the middle so that you can connect both sides and use it with one hand if you prefer. It covers more area if you use it open and with both hands. There are two sides of teeth. One is a little wider while the others are very small.Overall, it feels lightweight and on the cheaper side. However it is easy to use and I think the open and close system is clever. Even with the quality in mind, I would still recommend it.
