test wasnt expired, yay!
came in quick and the test wasn’t expired so thats a win. probably the easiest to use low range test. the digital ones are easier to read but not as accurate.tip: when you read your results, put the vile on the white paper and look from the top down using sunlight if you can. biggest thing is not having a shadow on it which can make it look darker than it is.

Better than most common, cheaper test kits. Worth the extra money.
I’ve always suspected my local water supply had phosphates in it as my tank has a significant algae bloom. I ordered this, and sure enough, this detected high amounts of phosphates in my tap. My tank reads much lower as I use a product to remove phosphates. The provided color chart seems quite accurate and the colors that show up in the vial actually MATCH the color on the chart (unlike cheaper liquid kits that are more common) The vial is made of plastic which I actually prefer as I have broken glass vials on other test kits before. Test is straightforward and easy to perform. I plan on buying more Salifert test kits in the future!

Great product.
Great product.. only down side In my opinion is they could have done a better job with the directions. All you get is a peice of printed paper stating how to perform the test and very basic result description

Very accurate
Accurate. Good value. Reading the color by eye can be tough. I use a hanna checker with these reagents and apply some math to get the most accurate and precise test I’ve ever used.

Easy to test and probably not as accurate as a Hannah Checker, itâs a lot easier and faster (and cheaper).Purchased because Iâm having a low nutrient issue and this confirmed it.

Does the job!
One thing I really like about Salifert is their test kits are always dependable! I have used them for years. Some people have issues with the colors but it takes getting used too, I would watch YouTube videos & see what the colors look like on their tanks to help better judge them. I would say Salifert is the gold standard especially for beginner aquarists.

Defective or doesn’t work
Wasn’t expecting poor results on such a highly rated item. Did the test as instructed, 0 reading. Went to two LFS to compare with their spin tests to see the accuracy, .3 phosphates with both. I am not doing the test wrong so possibly it is defective. Either way, no I don’t recommend this product.
