Solved the problem!
My horse is 32 and loses a tooth every year now. Her primary diet is a senior pellet. Pigeons love this diet as much as she does. Every bit that falls out of her mouth is a crumb for the birds. When she lifts her head out of the bucket, half a dozen birds all dog pile inside it, and not only were they eating her ration, theyâd leave feathers and poop, and their wings would swat her face as they escape the bucket on the next bite full of feed.I have been shooing, hosing, yelling at pigeons for ages since she has switched off hay. This feed mesh bag has saved me and the horse!She is not nice about her halters and bridal and tack. I took this and hung it around her neck for an afternoon. At dinner time I set it in her feed bucket with her senior pellets. Stuck her head right in and ate. I adjusted the straps shorter so that her lips are about 2â from the bottom inside of the basket. I had her bring her head down and in a minute she understood she could press the bottom of the feeder on the ground and reach the remaining feed inside.The pigeons are sad, the horse is fed, I can do other chores while she eats instead of standing around shooing birds, so I am happy! She gave me the worried eye but once she discovered the food inside she got over her suspicion real quick. This thing will pay for itself in lost time and feed the birds steal in no time at all. Seems sturdy and well made, should last a reasonable amount of time. I was worried sheâd freak out about it or not get the final bits at the bottom – nope, a little adjustment and a few hours as a necklace, this is a godsend (unless youâre a pigeon).

Awesome feed bag!
I have been buying another brand of inexpensive mesh feed bags and then I saw these for the same price. They have padding on the crown and two buckles/adjustments which is super helpful in a big herd. And I was pleasantly surprised to find an extra strap to come with each bag because thatâs the part that usually breaks.

Nice quality
I like the overall quality of these feed bags. One buckle has already broken but my horse stepped on the bag while wearing it and pulled back. I would buy them again at the same price.
