Just what I wanted
This little tortoise hideout was just the right size for my baby sulcata tortoises, and they love to sleep in it! I also wanted it because I needed just a little more humidity in their tank. I was trying to avoid a humidifier because it was almost at the level I needed it to be. I was hoping this would just help bump up the humidity a little more. Luckily it has worked great, both as a hideout and for the little percent of humidity I needed. I do need to fill it up almost every day with water which is fine to me. It does just what I needed and also looks really cute in their enclosure!

This is a super cute hide but it doesnât work like it says you will have to add some moss inside to keep it moist but itâs still aesthetically pleasing. I gave it four stars because it is cute but my lizard never uses it. Itâs a bit small for him. It would probably work better for a frog.

This works great because we only use it for shedding and the water dish on top is solely for moisture in the cave. Geckos often defecate in water and having this gives ours a dedicated spot that’s not her watering hole. Also we keep a living substrate with isopods and springtails and they thrive under this cave, we often see them feeding on the geckos waste in the water above it.

Actually works!!!
Our young ball python was struggling with his shed and we desperately wanted to help him. After some research we discovered, during shed, they need their humidity a little elevated. We had a little difficulty keeping the tank properly humidified so decided this was the way to go. Within days he successfully sloughed off the remainder of his shed and is back to being our sweet little dude we can hang with on the daily. This worked SO WELL and it looks adorbs in his tank!
