Makes the chickens happy
This is a great treat for my chickens. They seem to enjoy this over some other grubs I’ve tossed them in the past. Little pricey, but a good occasional treat.

Chickens ate them
2 lbs is A LOT of dried crickets. I underestimated how many it would be… again, 2lbs of dried crickets is A LOT of crickets. They smell absolutely awful but my chickens seemed to enjoy them. It took a while for me to get through the bag. I’ll order again when the summer passes because I can’t imagine that smell ripening even more with the heat…

Big box, generous portion. My birds love them!
Can’t go wrong with something so simple! These are quality dried crickets, and my birds love to eat them! This is a big box, very generous portion.

Unbearably bad smell
The smell of these is nearly unbearable. The freeze dried Fluker’s brand is much more expensive but hardly has any smell compared to these wretched things.

Popcorn . . . errr, chicken snacks.
While I canât say the smell was all that pleasant, I didnât get any complaints out of a single chicken. The kids pretty much had to hand feed each chicken one at a time to ensure they all got a fair amount. This is a huge bag of crickets but Iâm still not sure they are cost effective for the eggschange in commodities.

Happy Chickens, but some extra stuff mixed in
My chickens happily ate these up, so no complaints there. But there was some plant material mixed in with the dried crickets. I’m used to the purity of black fly larvae.

Good back of crickets, but not my for my picky duck
I recently picked up a bag of dried crickets to try as a treat for my duck, and overall, I think itâs a solid product, though it didnât quite work out for my particular feathered friend.First off, this is a nice big bag, definitely great value for the amount you get. The crickets themselves are impressively large and mostly whole, which was something I appreciated since it’s not always the case with dried insect treats. The resealable bag is also a plus for keeping things fresh (although Iâll be honest, the smell is definitely there. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if youâre sensitive to odors).Unfortunately, the crickets didnât pass the taste test with my duck. Heâs always been a notoriously picky eater, and even though he was curious enough to try one, he spit it out immediately and wanted nothing more to do with them. I was a little disappointed, but I canât fault the product for that, some animals just have strong opinions!Pros:Large, mostly whole cricketsGenerous quantityResealable for freshnessGood option for birds or reptiles that enjoy insectsCons:Strong smell (to be expected, but worth noting)Not a hit with my duck, though this may vary by animalIf youâve got birds or reptiles that enjoy bugs, this is definitely worth trying. While it didnât work out for my duck, I still think itâs a well-packaged, quality product that would be a great treat for the right critter.

Stinks to high heavens
So these bugs definitely didn’t come whole and were rather parts of bugs and a worn out bag that leaked all over my other items. The stink terribly. So please order by themselves and not with other edibles or clothing because seriously these reek. Smell a side. My chickens did not love these as much as they love melworms. It might be because they didn’t recognize the shape and it took them a while to realize that these were food
