Overpriced and possibly inaccurate.
I got an ammonia reading so I did a 50% water change. Reading should have changed. It did not. Also the bottles have no lot numbers or expiration dates so you never really know if it’s fresh enough to be accurate. So far compared to API master test kit I’m not impressed. But I’m buying the Fluval kit next and various test strips. The more data points I have the easier it is to isolate outliers. It’s better than nothing but that’s all I can say for it.

Leaking packaging
Received product and upon opening my hands started burning and saw that the original product packaging was leaking, hands became red and smelled like bleach. Amazon gave refund but no fallow up on care or risk of chemicals exposure. Emailed Fritz waiting for response will follow up.

Test tubes leak when shaken, no other complaints
Test tubes leak when shaking….even with heavy pressure on the cap. Other than that, no complaints. Seems accurate.

Somewhat complicated and â¦.
Compared results agains Hanna instruments and the deltas were too wide for my licking. Go with Sera!!!

Inaccurate Ammonia Reading
I consistently got an ammonia reading of 0.25, which worried me and led to frequent water changes. Nitrate always read 5, which seemed fine until I tested my RO water and got the same results. Thatâs when I realized something was off. I bought an API test kit to compare, and just as I suspected, my tank had 0 ammonia. So clearly, the Fritz kitâs accuracy isnât reliable. The only reason Iâm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is for the wide-range pH test itâs simple (just 3 drops) and seems to work fine. But overall, I canât recommend this kit.
