Good size bag for the price. I breed birds and needed to add some different seeds. Good for parakeets, cockatiels and other small/med birds. Many different seeds. Will buy again soon.

Enjoyed by our yard critters
I left this bag outside for a few weeks and discovered that it had been tore into by a critter. The bag was inside a plastic pretzel container with a lid. All the seeds had been scattered over the parking space, but only the sunflowers were eaten. I think it’s squirrels.I scattered the remaining seeds and the local birds have been happy cleaning up the spill. Even though it is labeled for cockatiels, the outdoor birds are enjoying the mix too.

VERY CLEAN LOOKING BIRD SEED, ENJOYED BY MORE THAN COCKATIELS TOO
Ok, I got this not for cockatiels but to try out on my seasonal outdoor chickadees, towhees, white-crowned sparrows, etc. this season, as most of the contents are just up their alley, too. Yeah, they devoured it. The backyard looked like an aviary for several months. I can’t see a cockatiel complaining… The seeds are really shiny, clean and free from foreign items, and some are coated in nutrient rich compounds that are healthy (apparently) for your cockatiel. No complaints from my bird testers, at least. A touch pricey. GIDDYUP!

My cockatiel loves this mix. He previously had a budgie mix which is mostly all tiny white seeds and this one has more variety which I’m sure he’s loving. Price is right for quality ingredients and 5 lb amount.

Cockatiel dug in
My cockatiel dug in right away. I am trying to keep an eye out to see if he is eating the hemp and buckwheat because our normal blend does not have those. I haven’t noticed for sure if he is or not. I do know that he usually ignored the green oat groats and I don’t expect him to eat them but I will keep an eye out.Overall, the mix looked pretty good. However, I will say that it is very light on the sunflower seeds. My bird will not eat chop or fresh veggies. I’ve tried time and time again. He will eat dried greens, pellets, and seeds like this. We do have a little bit of an underweight issue so he is given whatever he wants and I do prefer to have more sunflower seeds for that reason.
