Greatest thing Iâve bought so far for my dogs
I canât begin to say how happy and absolutely astonished I am with this vacuum. I have a border collie, a shepherd mutt and a husky pup whoâs the biggest baby youâll ever meet. With how quiet and powerful the vacuum is it really makes brushing them and keeping up with their coats easy and a breeze to keep the house clean. I kid you not just with my husky alone I can fill up half a 20 gallon bag after 6 hours of brushing with this thing. But would you believe he doesnât freak out at all but he goes nuts when the vacuum or the hairdryer is going. All the attachments are pretty good quality and really work well at getting to the undercoat. Prior I had several different brushes that left my house a mess with loose hair and would still not get deep enough and I would constantly be cleaning it up all over the house. I had been looking into several different vacuums because of some ads I had seen online that had interesting reviews but this one caught my eye for the large capacity and great price, so I thought what do I have to lose. Iâve had it for a few months and I couldnât be happier. I use it about 2 times a month for about 2-3 hours to get through all 3 dogs. Iâve also used it 2 times for about 9 hours after giving them baths and using the blow option to help dry them off and it still runs great. It just gets slightly hot if you fill it up to capacity too often. But for the price I honestly couldnât be happier to the point I wrote this review after talking about it to my friend whoâs also a dog lover and I never write reviews.

This is absolutely amazing!!! I have a 185 pound Saint Bernard who is TERRIFIED of anything and everything! Getting him groomed has been an absolute NIGHTMARE! The groomers all refuse to work on him because of the safety concerns of his weight and him trying to escape. So he usually looks HORRIBLE and smelly and dirty.This machine did not scare him one bit, even at the highest setting! Blow dry AND vacuum settings!!! He was calm and chill! He even looked up at me with gratitude in his eyes!

A Useful Grooming Aid
The Hilicht GT-CP2201 Pet Groom Kit and Vacuum Cleaner is an easy-to-use solution for keeping your pets groomed and clean within its limitations. I tried this grooming device and kit on 2 different breeds of dog, West Highland White Terriers and German Shepherds. The German Shepherds had both a stock coat and a long-hair coat. The deviceâs limitations showed up with the long-hair coat, and Iâll explain in more detail below.The heart of this device is a low-powered shop vacuum that uses a pre-connected hose that has a set of electrical contacts at the end. These contacts can provide electric power to attachment heads. The power of this unit is adequate in sucking up loose pet hair on a sofa or flow, but its main purpose is to suck up the hair as you groom your dog, it prevents loose hair from collecting on the floor or becoming airborne. The motor offers 3 different power settings and allows for either suction or blowing. The on/off function and power setting is controlled by a momentary button, the suction or blowing is controlled by a 2-position switch. This switch is a shortcoming because the vacuum hose is an integral part of this switch. This means that there is no easy way to disconnect the hose in case it becomes clogged or needs to be replaced. I would have preferred an easily replaceable hose and a separate, 2 position switch to control suction or blow.The noise from the motor itself is less than a hairdryer, however, the volume of noise does increase exponentially with each progressive power setting. The noise was never enough to deter any of the dogs I groomed and the volume allowed for a conversation to be had while the device was in use. The attachments did not change the amount of noise and there was no difference in volume or power with the replaceable filter in place or removed.The most useful attachments are the de-shedding comb attachment and the slicker comb. The great functionality of the Hilicht GT-CP2201 is easily highlighted here. If you have used a de-shedding comb, you know that you frequently need to clear the tines of hair. With the GT-CP2201, all you do is press the button on the attachment and the hair is sucked up right away; after every pass over your dog, simply press the button and begin your next pass. There is never a pile of hair on the floor as your work on de-shedding. The slicker comb works the same way and does a great job. Once you are done grooming, you simply detach the bottom collection bin from the upper half (which contains the motor and filter) and dump the hair out in an appropriate bin.Where the Hilicht GT-CP2201 falls a bit short is with its clipper attachment. The clipper head is rather small and does not have a lot of movement between the blades. What this means is that thick or long coats can easily overwhelm the clipper attachment. For example, I was unable to trim the hair around my long-haired shepherdâs toes. The attachment did work in trimming around my Westieâs eyes. If you are looking to trim matted fur or remove knots, this is the wrong tool for the job; you would be better off with shears and/or true clippers. Despite the lack of functionality, within its limits, the attachment offers the same vacuum functionality of the de-shedding blade and slicker head.The caddy to carry the attachments is quite lacking, it is a floppy nylon loop with elastic pockets; not a bag with a useful center for storing items. The caddy does not stand up on its own and folds over itself constantly. I believe this is nice to have as a âjust in case I need itâ and believe you would be better off with a purpose-built caddy or bin.The nicest feature of the Hilicht GT-CP2201 was a surprise to me. I live in an area with sandy/silty soil and my dogs are constantly tracking in sand and I have to brush them to remove it from their coats. Upon using the GT-CP2201, I noticed that there was a fine layer of silt within the attachment point and in the collection bin. My dogs have noticeably shinier coats and there is less dirt/sand/silt in the areas where they lay down. This benefit alone (to me) is worth the cost of product.The Hilicht GT-CP2201 is not perfect due to a few small shortcomings. However, after using it multiple times and understanding its limitations, I believe this is a great tool to have for any dog ownerâs grooming collection.
