Totally fine, decently soft, and last pretty well
I have a long history with halter fleeces â I used them for my horses for years, and now I use them to cover my dog’s harness to protect his sensitive skin â and these are decently fine, and good for the price. They do lose some fluff when they’re new, which is why I was vacillating between 4 and 5 stars, but they wear in to be still soft enough and last for a while. If I could give 4.5 stars I think that would be the most accurate assessment. This is my third set of the same brand for O’s harness over the last 3 years, so they do the job I need them to and are a price that I don’t worry when he gets them wet and dirty on his walks outside.

Easy to use and looks nice.
The horses that I bought these for are all seniors. Their owner leaves on their halters and two of them have lost hair on their noses. These make a big difference. These covers go on easily and really protect the skin. Of course, I would prefer to use real fleece but these are fine and work well.

Bought in 4 colors. They are very soft, material is of good fleece quality so halter does not rub in the pasture. The velcro could be better as all of my horses that I purchased these for now have at least one or two missing. The size is great for any halter.

Convenient with the velcro closing
I don’t use these pieces with their intended purpose. My horse has to wear a grazing muzzle and gets raw spots on his face. I have made a cushion with these pieces, electrical tape and strong zip ties. It’s working great so far. He usually breaks or gets out of the muzzle within 2 or 3 days. It’s been 2 weeks and so far so good. No hair is being rubbed off his face thanks to the fleece AND one of those stretchy, over the head fly masks.

Nice soft fleece but the velcro is not well stitched on
Nice soft fleece but what kept me from giving it five stars is this: the velcro is sewn on with one continuous running stitch. So if it starts to unravel or fray at one end then the whole velcro piece falls off. My horse likes to rub his halter on the fence and the first night he pretty much destroyed the nose cover. I have since been using the cheek piece covers on the nose since that’s really the only area I need it. Currently I have punched two holes in it and you zip ties since the stitching on the velcro is not holding. It would probably work great if you were just using it for trailering rather than for turnout.

THESE ARE PERFECT!
My horse has sensitive skin, and his crib collar rubbed him nearly raw after a hard rain, and it of course was extremely tender for a while. I bought this and put one of the pieces on his crib collar, one on his halter, and one on his bridle. The softness helped him heal much faster.The set is great value for your money, you can easily use the pieces on different tack, like I did. It has been a life saver and has held up nicely! They also can be removed easily for cleaning.Absolutely love these, highly recommend, and will be repurchasing when these wear out!
