All the quality without the cost!!!
This is a great quality hard clumping cat litter! I have tried many different brands in the past 6 months, but, since I am on a tight budget,I needed to find one that was just as affective as the expensive brands, but more wallet friendly. Dr. Elsey’s Clean Tracks is that one!! Everything clumps perfectly, liquids and solids alike! It does clump the liquids extra hard of left to sit too long, but if you are like me, and you scoop the litter-box once a day, all you have to do is just run your scooper across the bottom, below the surface to loosen everything up before you start scooping. If you just start trying to scoop by starting at the top and working your way down towards the bottom, you’re going to have a bit of a struggle. It seems that if you were to let it sit too long at a time it would probably be more like trying to scoop bricks. Scooping once a day is best as it doesn’t give the larger pee clumps a chance to set up and stick to the bottom and get rock hard. This litter clumps quite nicely and doesn’t fall apart into micro pieces that fall through the scooper like many of the low end brands do. This is like a high end litter at a low end price. Most cost somewhere around a dollar or more per pound…this litter is at least half of that and has all the performance qualities as the top shelf brands have! 40 lbs. for under $20 is a steal!! Especially for the great quality you get!!! Also, the amount of dust,even when pouring, is extremely low just like it says.(barely noticeable). This litter is unscented, yet, it still somehow masks the smell of any cat business going on. I am on day 4 and so far, so good…still no smell to speak of…and I havent had to change out the litter, add any additional litter, or add any masking powders to keep the smell down! There is a little bit of tracking but not enough to complain about. No litter is 100% track free.All around,& hands down, this stuff is worth every penny!!! I finally found a litter that checks all the boxes and doesn’t cost a ridiculous amount of $money$!!!Oh, and my kitty likes it too!!!I highly recommend trying Dr. Elseys brand cat litter. We absolutely love Dr. Elseyâs Ultra Unscented Clumping Clay Cat Litter! We have four cats all using the same litter box, and this litter handles it amazingly well. It clumps tightly, controls odor, and stays fresh much longer than other brands weâve tried.The unscented formula is a huge plus with no heavy perfumes, just clean and effective. Having had cats or 20 plus years, I think I know a thing or two about litter! Like many of you, I’ve tried soooooo many different ones, from corn, clay, wood and crystals! Looking for affordable, odor controlling litter, that the cats actually seem to like.This litter is the best I’ve tried. It keeps the odor totally under control even if you miss a day of scooping. Clumps perfectly and tracking is minimal as well. I think its a very good price for such a high quality litter.

Hard Clumping for easy scooping
Iâm back and forth with this product. Iâve always used Dr elseys Ultra for the past 3 years and wanted to try the clean tracks. I did not notice a difference. Still highly absorbent as the ultra. No smell and I know itâs safe and healthy for them. But it still tracks everywhere in the house. Itâs still a great product to buy but no difference for me between the two litters.

Iâve been using Dr. Elseys clumping cat litter for about a year now, and I couldnât be happier with it! The first thing I noticed was how quickly it absorbs moisture. It clumps tightly, making it super easy to scoop and clean the litter box every day. I have two cats, and the litter does a great job of controlling odors, even after a full day. The scent is fresh but not overpowering, which is important for me because I donât want it to overwhelm the room.Another feature I love is how low-dust it is. Iâve tried other brands in the past that made me sneeze every time I poured the litter, but this one has hardly any dust at all. Itâs also gentle on my catsâ paws, which I really appreciate since my cat is quite sensitive to rough textures.The only downside Iâve noticed is a bit of tracking, but thatâs common with most litters. Mixed feelings!
I have been using this for a while, but have mixed feelings. It does clump well , but almost too well. I got a bigger stainless steel scoop and litter box. But the litter clumps so much that there are huge clumps, and it sticks to bottom of litter box. We got our cats the drinking fountains and now they drink all the time, and when they pee , it is just a massive clump. My main issue is it sticks to bottom of box and it is like concrete trying to get along the edges especially. I clean it a couple times a day. I try using more than litter box bit they all three use same one. So scoop in morning and late evening. Plus it does seem dusty, and I get a dry mouth and throat when bring around it. It doesnât track too bad, and has good odor control. I used to use the litter that didnât stick but it smelled worse. But I think I may try mixing the two and see how that works. Or just add deodorizer in other litter and put a plug in deodorizer next to litter box.

Yes, I made a booboo and bought unscented. That was the bad news…Now for the good news!!IT DIDN’T MATTER!Yes, I have a 1 cat household.It has been just over 2 weeks of using this product and the dust factor is, very low!!!Did it control odors? So far, so amazing!!!Ease of scooping… I used to use a bigger name brand litter, think about baking soda… The ‘soda’ stuff would get soaked and just make a big wet, sticky, mass of stink. Bless my soul, the Dr’s litter wasn’t sticky, it wasn’t wet and because there were actual litter coated clumps/balls that were much drier… well I’m pleased as punch with sorbet in it!Again, my home is a 1 cat household, and I made the mistake of buying unscented.I regret nothing and I’m gonna do it again!I have a new silly moment that I’m serious about now.When I close the litter box after cleaning/changing the litter I say, “Come on in, this way Buttercup! The Dr. is in!”
