Perfect length for barrels and if needed it’s not impossible to knot the reins to make them shorter and still nice. Not bad for trail riding either, they are a little thin but it’d a nice material and once I adjusted it works perfectly! I’ve had my horse pulling and some reins hurt my hand and there are super soft and hold up well.

I love so much about these reins, being my first foray away from straight English reins, they are soft and comfortable in the hand, and they are heavy enough to help convey a feel. They are gorgeous, but parts of the rope pull out very easily – so you have to take extra care when walking near posts or such with touch surfaces. I have a small galloway, and I feel that these reins are too short even for him, I am considering buying a longer set of slobber straps. These reins are not super expensive and I find them to represent great value for the money.
