Stopped fin rot in its tracks
I will always keep this on hand from now on. I got some new fish from Petco and had my first mass fish death, lost most of my neon tetras and my glo fish started losing fins. One glo fish was too far gone and died but this stuff saved my remaining fish and stopped the bad cycle. Super easy to use and the fish seemed to hardly notice when I added it.

My betta’s healthy and that’s all that matters!
This worked with my veil tail betta. He’s pretty big compared to some of the bettas I’ve seen and his fins just flow over everything. He owns his aquarium. He loves to swim through the plants, sit on moss, and sit inside his coconut home. Originally I had plastic plants and I thought they were very smooth but noticed some fin rot so I ordered some medication, removed the plants, and did a water change. The medication arrived within two days but in that time, his fin rot got so severe and he became lethargic. His pectoral fins lost all color and were barely there. He had rot in ALL his fins. I used the 3 day strong API medication, did a water change, and then followed it up with the Metafix and did another water change. Within the week, he was 85% healed. His pectoral fins took the longest but were 60% healed, dorsal fin was at 80% but his caudal fin (which was completely split in half and had a trail of fin hanging during his sickness) was basically healed by day 3. He’s back to being very active and he owns that aquarium. Its scary how fast fin rot happened but follow the instructions and it should work for you! Remember also to take out the carbon filter and don’t overdose – do water changes in 3 days and let the medication work. I’ve read some scary reviews but I thought if I did nothing, he’d die anyway so this was worth the risk and it paid off.

    Works!
I’ve had tropical fish for decades. Back in the 1970’s you’d put tetracycline in your tank and it worked like a charm. Most of the bacteria seem to be immune to most antibiotics and the cure can kill the aerobic bacteria your filter needs to work. Melafix works. Don’t be fooled by the tea tree oil. Doesn’t hurt your biological filtration. That and coppersafe cure about anything. I’ve also found that Pimafix works well on fungal infections. Of course the best is weekly water changes, not overcrowding, and catching problems before the problem gets out of hand.

    A must have for fishkeepers
I use this every single time I add a new fish. I follow the 3 day dosing instructions it comes with. The cap makes it super easy to measure out how much you need. It smells like tea tree which is a pleasant smell. It does not bother my fish or my plants.

A must if you have aquariums.
This product is a more natural substitute to help with fish ailments. I have a 55 gallon and 120 gallon tank.

    Definitely worked for me!
I have 8 fish in a small pond and noticed two of them exhibiting popeye. Contacted my local pond supply store and they recommended this product. Followed the directions to a tee and one week later popeye is gone. Fish look great. Highly recommended.
