Quick Set:
After out of the box and plugged in, the light turns on in auto cycle. You can alter the time for the daylight and moonlight cycles. Then place it on top of your aquarium and leave it. The light runs automatically by default setting.
However, if you find 6:30 am lights on is too early, you can change time and moonlight preset light color. For details, please see the user manual.
STANDARD MODE
DAY & MOONLIGHT CYCLE
At default auto cycle, you can use daylight and moonlight option to create your own custom 24 hours light cycle, altering auto on /off time, adjusting light color for moonlight option.
Preset lighting auto turns on at 6:30 AM and auto turn off at 11:30 PM. The light can be set to turn on and off at the designated time which allows your fish get some rest at night.
Daylight light color: 100% white full spectrum light. You cannot choose colors or brightness.Moonlight preset color: 100% blue. You can alter light color. It is available in blue, red, green, cyan, yellow and purple.
NOTE:
Restore Factory Default Settings: press up and down button at the same time until ” SOP ” shows up, unplug the adapter jack. Light will restore to factory default setting and auto turn on at 6:30 am.
DIY MODE
DIY CYCLE
In ‘DIY mode’, you can use eight time slots to create your own custom 24-hour light cycle, adjusting ‘on/off’ and light intensity for each slot. DIY mode L1-L6 slots are full spectrum, while L7 and L8 slots are blue light . You cannot choose colors, you can only alter the brightness at certain time periods.
In order to use DIY mode, the auto cycle must be turned off.To keep a specific time range light out, just set the brightness into 00.
MULTIPLE FUNCTIONS
BRIGHTNESS
Totally 10 levels of brightness for your option: 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 100%. Create the best brightness for your plants and fish.
FINE TUNE LIGHTING
At the daylight and moonlight mode, it can be programmed into fine tune lighting mode.
White full spectrum light with RGB LEDs. The middle arrays of RGB LEDs can be turned into blue, red or green by pressing “light setting” button. This function allows aquarium hobbyists to adjust the best result according to its need.
Reset local time can programmed back to default setting.
COLOR GRADIENT LOOP
At the daylight and moonlight modes, it can be programmed into color gradient loop mode.
Keeps pressing “Light setting” button until lighting mode switch into dark red lighting mode, color gradient cycle begins. The middle arrays of RGB LEDs slow turns from red into purple, blue, cyan, green, yellow to orange, continuous circulation of color gradient.

LCD DISPLAY TIMER
Integrated timer allows multi-function (daylight, moonlight time setting, custom light color and intensity, fine tune lighting, color gradient loop, diy mode) realizable.
The timer provides a slow ramp up and down that prevents light shock, gently acclimates fish to bright lighting. Memory function keeps local time in sync, remembers the programming of daylight moonlight mode and DIY mode , except for fine tune lighting mode and color gradient loop schedule.

EXCELLENT HEAT DISSIPATION

Great light, super bright.
So after using this for a while, it has been a real solid light, works well, super bright, easy to program the clock and the timers after you look at the instruction video. I love that it is adjustable in 10% increments on all of the different light settings. Only thing I noticed…it forgets everything if the power goes out and you have to program everything again. My other light has the ability to save everything when the power goes down. Other than that this is a really great light, I would buy this again if I get a second tank.

Perfect for planted aquarium
This is a good light, but now there is even a better light in the market called the Brite which is bluetooth activated with UV light and easier to customize for your planted aquarium. This light is pretty easy to program, Iâm not sure why I see so many reviews complaining that this is a difficult light to programâ¦. Took me like 5 minutes to set up for a Siesta Planted Aquarium for my 29 gallon and 5 gallon planted tank. Plant growth has been crazy with the Siesta Method. Currently Iâm using a Siesta Method with this light with the current setting:To set this light for custom mode. You first need to turn off all your other mode first or it is not going to work! Then you simultaneously press the setting and light bulb button at the same time. Remember need to set it to ON then press the setting button again, and you will start with L1 with the flashing number on the right. The number on the right indicates the intensity. Press up and down to control the intensity. Once you are satisfied with the intensity, press the setting button. The left side time flashing is the time your light will be on. The right time flashing is the time your light will be turn off. Press setting to confirm your time and it will switch to L2, repeat your step. Literally L1 – L8 is like a timeslot that you can customizeâ¦. How can people not understand that?â¦.L1 – L6 is full spectrum and L7-L8 is night spectrum. Always have 0% on L8 if you dont want algae. If you want algae and have your night mode on the whole night then go ahead.Light 8am – 12pm on. 12 – 4pm off. 4 – 10pm on. This would allow for a 4-4-6 siesta planted aquarium.L1: 8 – 9: 50%L2: 9 – 12: 100%L3: 12-4pm: 0%L4: 4-5pm: 50%L5: 5-9pm: 100%L6: 9pm – 10:30pm: 10%L7: 10:30 – 10:31pm: 0% To turn off the night lightL8: 10:31pm – 7:59am: 0% To turn off for the night and reset back to L1 timeThis siesta light setting is perfect to view your aquarium and let your tank Co2 reset. UPDATE Dec 30, 2022:Hygger has been very good throughout this issue, always getting back to me, and exchanging lights. As it turns out, there was a firmware mistake which prevented the Dusk function from working properly. Once they ran some tests on a returned light, they discovered it, and they readily admitted it. They then let me know when the batch with the new firmware would be available.The updated version works perfectly! This light is great for plants and put out plenty of visual light. My wife’s plants do very well with it.And Hyyger’s Customer Service is excellent as well!Initial Review:My wife needed a light for a new 20 gal planted tank. We already had the same model in 48in/72W. So, the 26W light was the choice, mainly because of the brightness. The problems are simple: Programming. My other, bigger big light is exactly the same way, a pain.Our first 26W unit couldn’t be programmed properly. Since they didn’t bother to send a manual, we used the one from our nearly 4 year old unit. Since I was somewhat used to them, programming didn’t seem to be too bad. All I did was set the time, and the length of time I wanted the light on. That way, it should ramp up, and then ramp down prior to going on and off, simulating dawn and dusk. Dawn worked fine, but I could not stop dusk from ramping down halfway, and then switching off completely.After pulling my hair out, I sent it back for a replacement. The new one made it with a manual, but I had the same issues. The manual is very incomplete, and in English written by someone who is Chinese. It really needs to be rewritten by someone who really speaks English, and a Troubleshooting section added.Sunset and sunrise are mirror images of each other. Increase to about 50%, wait 1 hour, and then over 15 min increase to 100%. Sunset should be the same. Decrease to 50% over 15 minutes, hold that for an hour, and then decrease to off, over 15 minutes. Our light decreases to about 2% and holds that for an hour.Still awaiting a reply….This could be a 5 Star light, even though it is made in China, but it’s poor programming methods hurt it badly!

Firstly, the delivery is great! It came earlier than expected. The product’s build is good. The complaints by reviewers about the control panel being sensitive to touch is real. Just have to learn to get to use to it.Overall, it is a good product from my unboxing it and trying out the modes and settings. The standard mode should be adequate. Just ensure the time settings of Day-ON and Day-OFF that work for you.

Been using this light for about 2 months.Very bright and I actually only use it at 50% as I have no plants to grow.In the automated setting you can not dim the light and I found it over powering. I “DIY” mode though you can set the intensities of each stage of the timings. There are 8 total diy setting modes you can program in that let you set on/off times with intensities. 1 through 6 give a nice clear white light, 7 and 8 give you blue. All 8 modes can be run dimmer mode.During power outage it will remember your settings but you will need to re set tge time. A bit of a pain but also eliminates need for a battery backup in the light.As long as I have no issues in future I am extremely happy with it. From my understanding the manufacturer is also very good at making issues right which is some peace if mind as well.I bought the 48 to 55 inch verson and at that price you are actually getting a very good light at a very reasonable price compared to other options. It may be a little more expensive than the real bargain brands but the programming function alone makes it well worth it.I’ve bought a second one now for another aquarium.
