Wonder Tool
I have a Tibetan Terrier. I adopted him from the pet shelter. He was terrified of being groomed. Grooming was paramount to a murder attempt. Screaming in a high pitch, crying, pretending to bite. (He’d whip his head around but never open his mouth.) Tibetans have a heavy undercoat that dread-locks. These things can cause pain to a dog. Even tear their skin if the tangles are left to pull in different directions. I got to the point where I was just cutting dreads off. Slicker brushes were murder on my hands. That expensive tool with the fluid required to make it work, just left him sticky. Wetting his matts would make them tighten. I’d have to cut them off. This has nothing sharp. So I can hold his hair in my fist and brush out the undercoat. No scratching my hands. No pulling his skin. His feet are more difficult. He sleeps with them tucked under him. So they mat up. But I am determined. I got three full dogs worth of hair (undercoat) off of him this weekend. His hair stood straight out, looking like he’d gained 20 pounds. He is so soft! I’m like the little girl in Despicable Me – He’s so fluffy I’m gonna DIE!!!

All you need is this one tool!
Love this thing! First time you go to use, be sure to do it somewhere you don’t mind getting hair all over because man did this thing get out the hair. It worked really awesome for my smooth Border Collie and it also was great on the longer thicker coated one as well. I couldn’t believe the amount of hair and old undercoat it got out and so easily and the dogs don’t mind it at all. 2 sided blades are great, that way I have a sharp side if one side gets dull. I’m sharing this find with my friends.

Better than any comb I’ve used on my long haired baby
This comb works so well! I have a long haired chihuahua that cries every time I brush him to get the matts out and he doesn’t cry at all with this comb. I love the two sided combs for larger and smaller matts and/or dogs. This comb is definitely worth the money and better than any comb I’ve used before.

Great at getting the undercoat on my long hair cat but she doesn’t like the way it tugs at her thick fur. It’s a very useful tool though.

Worked great on an older kitty who isn’t able to groom himself anymore
We have a 14 year old cat who is no longer able to groom himself properly. His coat was full of mats. I ordered this brush and was shocked at all of the hair and mats I was able to remove. My cat purred the entire time I was brushing him, even when I had to gently tug at the mats to remove them. His coat is now smooth and he looks so much better!

did not work on my Yorkie, meant it to cut through her mats on legs but would not grab the hair at all, would be best for the double coated dogs, I believe, like Cairn terriers. returned.

This is a wonderful dematting tool for my older cats who have stopped grooming themselves. it removes the matts without pulling on their sensitive skin. Even as a simple brush this is a great tool as it is removing more of the undercoat then I have removed with any other brush. I wish I had known about this years ago!

My little Schnauzer has very fine hair which mats easily as it gets longer, usually I have to use scissors before brushing so comb does not get caught and pull out hair and then I have to groom him really short to even it out. I had another one of these tools, different brand which I had bought at a pet store but the blades where not sharp so it did not cut the hair to remove the mats it same as using a comb, useless, but I am sure glad I decided try this one, the blades do cut so it does the job it was meant to do, well made, really worth it. My Schnauzer is also pleased with my purchase :-).

Le produit est arrivé extrêmement rapidement, comme toujours….J’ai une chienne croisée husky/loup tchèque dont la fourrure fait beaucoup de noeuds au niveau des flancs et du ventre.Cet outil est vraiment exceptionnel, et ma chienne qui n’aime pas trop les séances de brossage habituellement, est restée très zen, preuve que cela ne lui faisait pas mal.

I’m incredibly impressed with this dematting tool. My shorthair tortoiseshell cat had got rather badly matted towards her back end, so much so that I had considered taking her to a grooming parlour for a clipping. There were quite large areas of mat caused by her dense underfur, which she seems to be having trouble dealing with by just licking. Grooming with ordinary brushes did very little and she hated being brushed as it obviously pulled and hurt her, so after a few minutes she would lash out or run away.I bought the DakPets tool as a last resort before the clippers, and I am amazed that in just a few weeks Nyssa (the cat) has virtually no mats or knots, and her coat has a sheen it hasn’t had for a while. Even better – she likes the brushing process, and even seems to ask for more by purring and rubbing.I’m hugely satisfied with the dematting tool, and I’ve just ordered the DakPets deshedding tool to complete the set and keep Nyssa’s coat silky.
