Best product Iâve ever used
Iâve been using JustiFLY Equine 8-8-8 for months now and it is an effective product. I have noticed a significant decrease in the fly population. I will say it took a couple weeks to see a difference and I was about to give up, but I’m so glad I stuck with it! My horses are too! I like the salt base. I give my horses salt anyway, so this takes care of that need as well. More than anything, I’m just so pleased there are so fewer flies than before. I highly recommend this product!

Our horses donât much like the taste
Well, Day 1 of trying JustiFLY, the horses took it with their pelleted supplements fairly well. Day 2, not so much. And by Day 3, even our greediest critters wouldnât eat it. Not mixed with anything we had on hand. This product would be easy to feed, if only they liked the taste. I didnât detect any strong scent. The texture is somewhere between powdery and granular, and quite easy to measure with the enclosed small scoop. But itâs quite dry, so it didnât really adhere to the pelleted supplements particularly well.Have to confess, I didnât try to mix it with a sweet feed, because we rarely feed that to any of our horses. If they require supplements, those are horse-specific. So we donât routinely keep sweet feeds on hand. Nor did I try something like adding molasses, because frankly, thatâs just more mess than I want to deal with on a daily basis. Now we are very nearly past fly season here in the mountains, and I believe Iâm going to just tuck the JustiFLY container away for now and try it again in the spring, starting a little ahead of fly season, which would be more ideal anyway. I looked for an expiry date, but couldnât see one, so Iâm assuming this is shelf stable.Iâm going to consider buying a feed specifically to mix this product with at that time. Iâve read some reviews that say that JustiFLY really works, as long as all of the horses housed in the same facility are receiving it. So Iâm going to give this product the benefit of the doubt for now, and give it another attempt come spring.

Works, but they donât like the taste
Used this for about 2 months. It definitely works. But palatability is a major issue. Horses just donât want to eat it. I finally gave up and switched to a different feed thru

Justifly does not work
I been buying Simplifly for my barn stalled horses and it works great flys were gone decided to switch and try Justifly because it was cheaper and flies ate my horses up. Would not recommend also it didnât last as long as the recommended dosage said and looked as if only half was in the bucket.

Same active ingredient as SimpliFly
Similar in price to other feed-through fly control products, it may be a little less per serving. It contains the same active ingredient per gram as SimpliFly. It is a powder and not a pellet, so plan on mixing it in with a daily ration balancer, forage pellets, grain or other similar product. I add a bit of warm water to help the powder mix in and stick with the feed so that the horses can’t eat around it. SimpliFly uses wheat middlings and alfalfa meal for palatability. This product is primarily salt mixed with the fly control. If your horse is aversive to salt products, this may not be suitable for you. On the other hand, if your horse is sensitive to alfalfa or you need to restrict alfalfa products, this may work really well for you. Feed-through controls work best if started right before fly season and fed consistently to all animals daily throughout the fly season.
