Not just for reptile tanks! (although, that is the intended purpose)
I feel a bit like a fraud for buying this. I have neither a reptile tank nor any type of reptile. My youngest can sometimes act like a snake, but I won’t go there. What I do have is a sunroom where the thermometer I had in it recently broke. I wanted to replace it with a new one, and also wanted to register humility, since we leave the windows open so often in there. Enter this PAIZOO Reptile Thermometer Hygrometer. It’s perfect! It records the temperature accurately, as well as the humidity. Rather small in size, it is easy to place the display where I want it, with an adhesive backing (best suited for glass) or a little shelf mount. The display can be a little small to read from a distance … I’d say you want to be closer than ten feet to be able to read it well. So if anything, I wish the digital display were a tad larger. With the temperature and humidity reader on a small wire, I can place this out of the sun and away from an outside wall to get an accurate reading of the room. I love how it has a built-in battery that can last 1-3 months per charge. But I like to see the display 24/7, so to enable that, you need to keep it plugged in. Otherwise, you’ll need to push the touch button every time you want to see the readings, and it only stays illuminated for ten seconds. The instructions for this item are on the back of the box. This is a good quality thermometer/hydrometer that works for lizard tanks and beyond.

Lacking an important feature
It’s a cool little thermometer with the green digits and different ways of powering it, but in my opinion it’s lacking an important feature:I want a min/max function to see the highest and lowest measurements, either in the past 24 hours or until I reset it. With this function I could see if any climate issues happened while I wasn’t there.Without this feature, I just feel it’s inadequate for taking care of living things.

Great for geckos and snails!
This thermometer/hygrometer is really nice. It is very fast and easy to set up; less than a minute and it was on and doing its job. It keeps the temperature and humidity on display, with bright green numbers that I can easily glance at from across the room. It’s very helpful for keeping my crested gecko’s tank at prime temp/humidity, because I can do a quick check and adjust the heater or a spritz from his mister bottle. I’m not sure how long the battery lasts, because I opted to keep it plugged in so I can keep it on/visible at all times. I would say it’s pretty durable; I dropped it a few times on accident with no damage done. Overall great product!

Perfect for reptiles!
This thermometer is fantastic! It has a super simple setup and offers two mounting options: you can either place it back on its little kickstand or attach it to the glass panels of your tank! It arrives fully charged and conserves battery by shutting off when not in use. The display is bright and easy to read, and I’ve encountered no issues with its accuracy! I use it in my Leopard Gecko’s tank, and it looks great too! I absolutely prefer it over the cheap thermometer and hygrometer I used to have, which I often had to buy separately and were prone to breaking. This one has been trouble-free! It comes with a charger and everything you need! I’m completely in love with it!

Great display – keep plugged in for constant display
I got this for our ball python, Mangle, since her large setup needs careful monitoring for both temperature and humidity. I really like that I can run the wire through a port into her enclosure and keep the unit itself on top for easy viewing. The readings feel accurate and reliable, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. For anyone with reptiles, itâs so much better than just relying on a basic temperature gauge.

A good addition.
Itâs a bit bigger than my needs but thatâs entirely my fault and not the products. Itâs quite bright. Well, enough to most definitely make out the numbers at all times of day. Which is definitely a necessity for some reptiles and finicky animals. Itâs going to make a great addition to your enclosure Iâm very sure of that. Itâs a great value for the money itâs high quality with a slick interface and it has lasted me this month so Iâm pretty sure the wiring is good.

This is pretty neat, and works well but the design probably isnât ideal for any reptile keepers with spicy tank dwellers.The LED display is super neat and very aesthetically appealing, but you have to manually press this for it to show the state. IE you will need to reach into your tank every time you want to check it, you canât glance and read it for outside the tank. My Ball python is a sweetie so while inconvenient itâs not a deal breaker. But my sister for example has a pretty territorial sand boa, and I have other friends who have trigger happy reptiles and wouldnât want to be reaching into the tank unnecessarily as well. It works well otherwise, but I would consider this a flaw in design.I really like the thin and professional appearance of this thermometer, and it has pretty excellent readability.It is rechargeable which is awesome and the battery last a very long time which makes it easy to maintain. It adheres to any flat surface with a suction cup and can be mounted pretty quickly.Overall itâs a great thermometer for tank use but has to be manually activated each time which can be a hassle for some keepers.
