pH is the measure of acidity of water, on a scale ranging from 0 to 14. A pH of 0 is the most acidic, while a pH of 14 is the most alkaline. Different geographies have different tap water conditions with different pH levels, while fish require a specific pH level to thrive. A pH of 7.0 is ideal when keeping a community aquarium containing a variety of tropical fish. Goldfish and livebearers prefer a pH of 7.5. Many Amazonian fish, like angelfish and neon tetras, prefer a pH of 6.5 to 6.8. Mollies and swordtails thrive at pH 7.2 to 7.5. API pH UP Freshwater Aquarium Water pH Raising Solution raises aquarium pH in freshwater aquariums to desired level. Safe for fish and plants. Use when setting up a new aquarium, adjusting pH, or changing water. pH in an aquarium can fluctuate due to fish waste, uneaten food and addition of tap water. It is recommended to test water for pH weekly. With API Aquarium products, it’s easy to keep a beautiful saltwater, freshwater or reef aquarium. Customers find the pH raising solution works well, particularly in 125-gallon aquariums, and appreciate its ease of use and value for money. Moreover, the product receives positive feedback for its quality materials and water quality benefits, with one customer noting its testing capabilities for both fresh and briny water. Easy to use & effective
Impressive product as it immediately helped increase my ph . Added in limited dosage as pkg suggested . Too quick a ph change probably not good for the fish so use intelligently . My ph had been low and caused cloudy conditions , but this solved that and clarity returned with normal ph .

Worked very well, but no safety seal
I received the product very quickly.Product did not leak.I followed the directions and tested the water outside of my aquarium. And the API pH UP^ worked as advertised. My only issue was that after I removed the lid, there was no safety seal, so I was worrying if product might be watered down or tampered with in any way that might harm my fish. But my tests on the treated water showed nothing odd.I will watch to see how my fish and plants do. And report back.

raises ph as promised, for the new to aquarium folks , follow the instructions and raise the ph slowly as to not hurt your tanks stock ….

Does the job. Always seek stable water parameters over fluctuation. Adjust water hardness for stability
