Good for quick checks!
Iâm a worrying person and these are perfect for quick checks throughout the week. No they are not as accurate as API test kit, but they can definitely let you know if something is seriously off.I looked at a lot of different types of these and found these and the Tetra strips to be the best overall rated. Tetra strips are more expensive though.I have had no quality issues and only a few issues with figuring out what color it was closer too. I found making sure you have a good bright light above is very helpful.I will continue to use these throughout the week until the give me a reason not to.

I would highly recommend these test strips!I typically purchase my aquarium test strips from a different (and very well-known) company. I decided to give these a try since they were significantly cheaper. I have compared the results of these test strips with the other test strips that I had been using, and the results have been accurate every time. The instructions are clear and reading the results on the comparison chart is extremely easy and straightforward. The shipping was also extremely fast.I will definitely be buying these from here on out!

Good for a quick check.
Theyâre good for a quick check but theyâre not as accurate as the API test kit. Still, theyâre easy to use and can let you know if things are starting to go downhill in your tank. If I notice the colors on the strips start to look a little different from what they usually do thatâs when I bring out the API master kit. I just donât want to be measuring and shaking bottles all the time so these strips are good enough to fill in the gap.

I have three aquariums and I like to do occasional water checks, so test strips are somewhat of a hot commodity for me. Pet stores absolutely price gouge them, and after a while of that I found these for roughly half the price and triple the quantity.Tested them out (Pics above) and they worked just the same as any other strip would except for a couple extra squares that, while I think is cool to have, I’m likely never going to use. Cross referenced the readings with other strips, so these are just as accurate as any other test strips.What I like the most about this, though, is the price and the color chart.Starting with the color chart, other containers I’ve used have their color chart behind a layer you have to peel back in order to see it, so I shed tears of joy when I saw that this product has the chart easily visible without having to mess with anything. The chart also has very bold and clear markings around the safe areas. I’ve never had any trouble seeing the markings on other ones I’ve used, but it’s a noticable improvement even to me. It might seem niche, but I can imagine if someone has vision struggles this could help with avoiding to strain their eyes.Now boy howdy, this price had me weeping like Jesus Christ just cured me of leprosy. The pet stores had fooled me into believing that theirs were only ‘slightly’ expensive at ~$20 for 30 strips. And then I thought I was getting away with HIGHWAY ROBBERY when I found a place that sold 30 for $13. Lo and behold, I find good quality test strips for the same price that I had thought was absolute bottom dollar, and it has more than triple the quantity! I don’t know who Mr./Mrs. JNW Direct is, but I’ve named one of my fish JNW Jr. and I’m naming you as his godfather.So! Overall. Bad news is, I’ve got a nitrate problem. Good news is, after saving all this money, I’m a man who feels like a freshly made millionaire with a nitrate problem. This must be what it feels like to cry in a Lamborghini. 5/5 Stars.

Absolutely useless. Half the readings are not a set color but rather a bleeding of multiple colors. I mainly got this kit just for a faster measurement of gh and kh and to monitor iron in my planted tank. I did 4 tests. 2 before dosing iron because it said 0 ppm. So I dosed iron plus my all all in one fertilizer, it still says 0 ppm. So the iron test is useless. Gh and kh are reading no where near the actual gh and kh done with the API drop kit. Don’t buy this, if you make new water and shoot for 10 dgh and 5 dkh, you’ll end up making 15 dgh and 10dkh. Enough of a difference to kill your fish. The only one that’s almost accurate is pH. Even nitrates is measuring 0ppm when my all in one fertilizer has high nitrates. This was a worthless buy.

A MUST HAVE!
Rapid cycling my 55 gallon, I needed these. To ensure these were reading correctly, I took water samples and my strips to 2 seperate fish stores and they matched exactly, matter of fact Petsmart quarantined 4 of their tanks because I wanted to test my strips and they learned their water was way out of balance, because of my asking. Never be reluctant to ask to test the water of an aquarium you are purchasing fish out of. I use these strips probably way more than I need to, but I want my water always perfect and these help me keep the water in an ideal condition. The price is great for the peace of mind you get, super easy to read..dip read..that simple, the bottle has the ideal colors marked where you want your colors to be. I will ALWAYS purchase this product.
