Helpful for those stubborn areas
I think if you give me the option of a powder or soap/water combo, Iâll pick the powder every time. I like how easy this is to apply. Plus my older gelding who often needs it gets chilled easier. Not having to get him wet is just preferable. The bottle is fairly small. I have found it best to work in smaller areas though. Plus you donât waste or need as much powder.This works well for rain rot and those stubborn skin/coat issues. I have been pleased and will continue to use this product.

Good alternative for the name-brand version
I got this as an alternative to a well-known name brand since it’s cold out and I can’t always bathe my horses.It operates much like the name-brand does; sprinkle it on and it helps lift some of the dirt and helps clean the horse.This isn’t a substitution for a good bath for your horse, but if you just need to help dry out some sweat and give an appearance of a cleaner horse, then this is helpful.

Great to have on hand!
Great product for winter, especially. The smell is pleasant, and the powder is effective. Just sprinkle onto sweaty areas, let stand for a few minutes, then vigorously brush out with a good, firm bristle brush. A like to reapply a light amount onto a separate brush and smooth back into areas that may not be dry enough, then just turn out. I’ve not noticed much or any buildup, though my horses are on 247 turnout so rolling in mud and snow probably prevents that! My grey can occasionally get a scabby greasy spot on her back, and this has really helped with that!!

Takes a little bit of trial and error to get used to using (don’t want to dump too much at once!) but it works nicely with a curry comb, especially when the weather is too cold for a bath!

This is a great powder to have on hand for coat care. I especially like to use it in the winter when itâs too cold to wash your horse. Nice to work with and has a pleasant smell.

Love this product. It works so well on horses who are not clipped in the winter. Speeds up drying time and absorbs the sweat and reduces the itch. Nothing worse than having to spend hours trying to dry the sweat out of your horses coat in the freezing cold. This speeds things up and has great benefits for you horses coat. Win win.

Pleasant Scent, Speeds Drying, but Leaves Some Build-Up
We requested this product through the Vine review program because, with the drop in temperatures, we were having to wait around after my daughter’s riding lessons for our horse to dry before blanketing. This is the first product of its kind we’ve tried, and overall, weâve been pleased with it.We appreciated that all of the ingredients are naturalâbaking soda, arrowroot powder, calcium bentonite (an absorbent clay formed from volcanic ash), corn starch, and peppermint oil. The natural formula is a big plus for us, and the pleasant peppermint scent has been a hit with everyone in the barn. Anytime you bring a new product into the barn, people are curious, and this one has gotten plenty of positive comments on the smell.In the few times weâve used it so far, it has sped up the drying process. However, even with good grooming, there seems to be a slight buildup left behind that will need to be washed off when the weather warms up. Iâm looking forward to using it more in the spring when temperatures are too cool for a rinse but warm enough to work up a sweat.
