The loss of a beloved owner can turn a pet’s entire world upside down. For Bee, a gentle and affectionate cat, that heartbreaking moment meant everything familiar suddenly disappeared. After her owner passed away, Bee was taken to a shelter in Los Angeles, where she had to face a confusing new environment filled with unfamiliar people and sounds. Cats often form deep bonds with their humans, and being separated from that connection can be incredibly distressing. Bee could not understand why her life had changed so suddenly. She simply knew the person she loved was gone, leaving her quietly waiting and hoping for comfort again.

Thankfully, Bee’s story did not end there.
A rescue group called Boomer’s Buddies stepped in and brought her into their care. Not long after, a woman named Courtney came to meet her. The moment they saw each other, something special happened. Courtney immediately felt a connection with the gentle cat who seemed to be searching for someone to love again.
It did not take long for Bee to show just how much she needed that connection.
A Cat Who Just Wants To Be Close
According to Courtney, Bee might be the most affectionate cat she has ever known. Bee constantly wants to stay close to her person. If Courtney moves to another room, Bee quickly follows, determined to stay nearby.
Being separated from Courtney even briefly makes Bee uneasy. She clearly thrives on companionship and reassurance. After losing her previous owner, the loving cat seems to treasure every moment of closeness she can get.
Bee also has a charming habit that melts hearts in their home.

Instead of simply asking for attention, Bee brings Courtney little “gifts.” Slippers, socks, sweatpants, and even T-shirts appear at Courtney’s feet. One by one, Bee carries them over like small offerings.
Courtney believes Bee brings these items because she is asking for cuddles and affection. It is Bee’s gentle way of saying she wants to spend time together.
And honestly, it works every time.
A Big Personality In A Big Cat
When Bee first arrived at the rescue, she weighed nearly 30 pounds. Her size was impossible to ignore, but her warm personality quickly stole the spotlight.
Since then, Bee has been making steady progress and now weighs around 22 pounds. The change has helped her become more comfortable and active, though she still remains a large and lovable cat with a big presence.
But perhaps Bee’s most surprising feature is her voice.
Her meows sound remarkably similar to a baby crying. During Courtney’s conference calls, coworkers sometimes pause and ask if there is a baby in the background. The sound is so convincing that people often cannot believe it is actually coming from a cat.
Bee’s adorable voice only adds to her charm.
What truly makes Bee special, though, is how easily she wins people over.

Even friends who normally claim they are not cat lovers find themselves cuddling with her before long. Bee happily curls up beside anyone willing to give her a little attention. Her affectionate nature seems to dissolve hesitation within minutes.
After losing the person she once loved, Bee has found a new family that cherishes her just as deeply.
Today, she spends her days doing what she loves most. Staying close to her favorite human, delivering cozy clothing gifts, and soaking up every cuddle she can get.
