What small animals is this playpen suitable for?
Small animals such as bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, hedgehogs, or turtles will enjoy themselves in this playpen. For animals good at jumping, please refer to the recommended assembly ways so that the animals do not escape.
Does the playpen protect the floor and prevent leakage?
The product comes with bottom panels to increase stability and protect the floor. To prevent animal droppings from staining the bottom or debris from leaking out, we recommend placing pee pads on the bottom.
Can it be expanded or DIY?
If you get 2 sets of the playpens, you can expand the size. You can DIY different shapes according to your preference or by following the instructions.
Is it compatible with other products?
Yes, it’s compatible with other SONGMICS products as long as the panel sizes fit with each other.

To prevent pets from chewing or biting, install the plastic panels with the sides featuring the seams facing downwards or outwards.To prevent pet droppings or debris from leaking and soiling the floor, we recommend placing a pee mat at the bottom of the enclosure during use.Despite the connectors with less gap, It’s suggested to add a mat around the base and cover the joints to leave no chance for avid chewers to escape.The pen is intended for small pets only, it is not recommended for larger animals, such as adult dogs or cats.During assembly, please make sure the corners of the panels are inserted into the bottom of the connectors entirely to add security.Connect two panels to the structure side by side with 2 cable ties. No more wall climbing for my hedge!
This took me about 45 min to assemble on my own, not because itâs difficult, but because I really like to take my time making sure the connectors that have the branding name on it, are all facing right side up AND because I LOVED using the rubber mallet to realign all the sides perfectly so thereâs no gaps in between!! Setup following the enclosed pamphletâs picture instructions was pretty simple. The mallet is a LIFESAVER. Gets rid of a lot of gaps quickly and effectively!My hedgie absolutely adores this cage over her old wire deep bucket cage which was just as big but didnât seem like it since the bucket took up a lot of space especially with the curves at the corners. With this cage, you can push the decor, tunnels, right next to the flat panels so thereâs a ton more space. You can see from the pic we have a lot of items in the cage and yet thereâs tons of room for running around and play.I highly recommend this cage for hedgies as she canât climb the sides of her cage anymore like she did with her old wire cage. It was awful to check out our âeventsâ in our Wyze camera in the morning to see her climbing on the wires of her old cage and then free falling (about a foot drop) to the bottom and landing on her back. Horrifying! This cage eliminates that problem because she canât climb these smooth walls (sheâs tried lol). Cleanup is fast and easy to, I just use a Clorox wipe to wipe down the sides of any messes she makes. Amaaazing!!Only thing Iâm worried about is placement of the heater in the winter time. Not certain if the plastic might melt or if the panels of this cage will hold up the CHEâs clamp so I might have to either buy a heat lamp stand which Iâm totally paranoid about it falling or somehow use a grid on part of the cage to serve as a roof like my wire cage had.Anyhow overall I highly recommend this for hedgies as it solves the climbing issue and now I can get a good nightâs sleep knowing she wonât be able to scale this cage!! Awesome buy and great option for hedgie parents!

Perfect for my rabbits
Works well with my two rabbits. Anytime I am working outside, I bring them with me in this. It was super easy to put together and looks good. It is worth the money. I like the material it’s made of as well. My rabbits can’t jump out because they can’t grip onto anything. There is enough room for them to get the zoomies though

If you plan on using this for kittens or puppies, I built this into (what I thought was) a tall fence to keep my 8 week old kitten safe while we were away. Well, two days in and hes figured out how to jump it! It can easily be rebuilt into a shape that suits your needs.Overall- It’s lightweight, yet sturdy and provides a safe, dry space for small animals.

I had my doubts when I realized our new kitten (3.5 months) is quite the jumper. In fact, the box arrived and it just sat in our living room for about 3 days while I decided whether or not to keep it. I was so close to returning it but we were at our wits end trying to figure out a solution to separate our new kitten Frida Lela Luna (Lela for short) and the well established luscious queen of the house Zuzu, that I decided to give it a shot.Yesterday, I finally decided to assemble the “playpen”. To be clear though, I did not assemble it anything like the photo. Instead, I built it to act like a barrier between the two fur kiddos. This allowed our dachshund (Zuzu) to go into two side sections with the middle area completely open. The barrier allowed them to look at each other without being confined like a playpen would have been constructed. I assembled it to be wide enough to close off the area between our hallway and our living room. This gave Zuzu freedom to run back and forth in the hallway and Lela freedom to run around the living room. By the end of the third introduction, our kitten jumped up on the couch and decided she felt more comfortable in the room with our doxie. At that point we had Zuzu harnessed and on a leash; however, the initial fears seemed to have eased between the two and they were able to be next to each other without incident for the rest of the introduction period.- In terms of sturdiness, it’s sturdy to a point. Lela, who doesn’t weigh much, was walking on it and you could see it bowing under her weight. It’s not really designed for that, so I don’t want to give the impression that this is solid plastic. It’s a flexible but firm plastic.- It comes with a cute little hammer! Yes, this was exciting… yes, you get excited about the small things in your late 30s.- No allen wrenches!!! Yay! (I’m not a fan, I apologize to all the allen wrench supporters out there).- Configurations: I could really see using this for various purposes. Really versatile and fun to assemble. Our 4-year-old loved helping me build it.- Size: I still had more panels left after I built it to the size we needed.- Storage: the small footprint when disassembled makes it easy to store without taking up a ton of space.Oh and I bought this used. I don’t regret that decision one bit. Great condition for a used item.

Purchased these 3 months ago for my new place and it has been PERFECT for my 6 lb chihuahua for when we’re out. He is a little shorter than the panels standing on his hind legs, however he doesn’t try to jump out.Much more visually appealing than those wire playpens, I’ve received quite a few compliments. He also likes the lack of metal as the sound makes him scared.We zip tied the door on one side to create a door so he is free to enter and leave as he wants. We used half the square tiles for the floor and half for the roof above his bed so he can’t get out. He loves his playpen and puts all his favourite things in there. Definitely will recommend to others. ð

Bunny feels very safe and comfortable in his âroom.â I bought this because it was not a wired cage, which I was trying to avoid bc it is often an eye sore and, more importantly, wired enclosures are usually cruel, especially if the floor of the enclosure is wired, which is terrible on bunny feet. I have this set up in my living Room and it doesnât bother me at all. It is not crystal clear like glass but it is easy to see him through it. Can be decorated as long as the decor is safe for the animal. Took a bit of figuring out at first assembly, like anything else, but really not bad at all. Easy to reconfigure. Easier with two people but possible for one person to assemble. Lots of room for a small animal like my mini lop bunny. He likes to rest in it, mostly, but he can run and do binkies in it. He did manage to use his litter as a platform to jump out of it once. So if you need your animal to stay in, make sure any platforms are away from the sides and buy two of these enclosures for the height. He is free roam and one of the side panels is left out of the enclosure so he can come and go as he pleases. He is free roam. I know another person who has the same enclosure and her Guinea pigs love hers. It isnât sturdy enough for someone to lean hard on so just be careful around it. It stays together for me to turn it on its side to clean. Easy to clean. I clean it with vinegar. Bunnies have extremely sensitive smellers so I only clean it when he is out and about playing or I take him out and I dry it and let it air out for a few minutes before I let him back in. I will be buying another one for my cabin. Itâs a great little set up for my bunny and it was a great price. I recommend.
