Great Easel that may be even better with a slight alteration………..
I love this easel! It is a great size. It is well made. It folds flat and is portable. It will accommodate up to a 26″ canvas. The lower tray is attached to the height adjustable mast, so when the mast is raised, the tray is also raised with it. Raising and lowering the mast (with the tray attached) only serves to raise and lower the “height” of the canvas but does nothing to allow a larger “size” of canvas. Adjustment for the “size” of the canvas is done thru the use of the top support “block”. When the block is moved to the top of the mast, it allows for a 26″ canvas to fit between the tray and the support block.NOTE: __So that I may work with a 30″ canvas, I am thinking of removing the 3 screws that attach the tray to the mast and then re-attaching the tray directly to the legs of the easel to make the tray stationary in its lowest position. By doing that alteration, the mast could be raised independent of the tray in order to gain another 15″ of height above the then stationary tray. That would create a space large enough to accommodate up to a 40″ canvas. The downside would be that, when the tray is no longer “attached to the mast”, I would lose the ability to raise and lower the “height of the canvas”, but the upside would be that I would gain the ability to work with a 30″+ size canvas. In theory, I think this will work. If I follow thru with this alteration when I am ready to paint on a 30″ canvas, I will report back about its effectiveness. In the meantime, this note is intended as “food for thought” for anyone else who may have interest in this modification to allow for use of a much larger size canvas.FINAL NOTE: You will not be disappointed with this easel. It is a nice one.

Sturdy and Heavy
This easel exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a lightweight easily breakable item. However this item stays stable on my desk and feels fairly heavy. The easel come mostly assembled, all you do is add the arm to the back and your done. Good size. Angle of slant, if you want any is easily adjustable. Hold the panel/canvas securely in place while you paint.

Very sturdy….
This is a nicely sized and very sturdy easel. The only thing I don’t like are the wood pieces that hold the easel in place, make it hard to paint those areas of the canvas so you have to go back & touch it up later.But, other than that, it works perfectly and even fits up to a 24″ canvas! 😊

A superior easel
I am a professional painter. I paint exclusively with oil paints. I wanted to add pastel to my repertoire and purchased this easel because it would tip forward. My studio easel will do this, but it always has canvas on it. It was the tip forward feature that sold me as it allows pastel dust to fall free of the painting.There are a few negative reviews on this easel and I haven’t a clue what they are talking about, This easel is well made and is very easy to use. It is also made with high quality components. If you are painting with large canvases then this isn’t for you, but the maximum height limitations of the easel are explained in the description. If I need a second on for my studio I would not hesitate to buy another. A great easel at a great product with quality thrown in as well.

Great little easel! Sturdy, does not tip our wobble, even with a larger canvas. Wide range of hight adjustments for standing or sitting. Great value for money!
