The Ideal ash bucket: Sturdy, Safe, Durable, and good looking.
I didn’t buy this myself (I think my wife did) but I am the one that uses it and it has been outstanding. Its a good size. the lid is secure but doesn’t stick. The finish doesn’t attract much dust. And while it isn’t heavy (even full) it is very sturdy and can be emptied over and over again without changing shape, or showing any marks. I have no idea if it came with the brushes shown in the photo.We use it for a wood stove that is our primary winter heat but is basically burned out every morning. I remove the oldest ashes with a conventional fireplace scoop (shovel) making sure to retain unburned pieces. If I accidentally transfer coals (cold or burning) to the bucket i can give it a shake, have them rise to the top, and then put them back in the stove. The shape remains perfect and the fit of the lid remains perfect. The carrying handle is super comfortable and leave exactly the right amount of clearance for carrying. Good size for emptying in the woods behind our house. It’s just a really great ash bucket.

i was disappointed when I unpacked this set. The brush was frayed and looked cheap, and the handle of the bucket was bent. The gloves are definitely not fire gloves, and I would be hesitant to use them to chop wood. They are just basic nitrile dipped gloves that you might wear for causal abrasion protection and extra grip. I don’t know what kind of metal the bucket is made of, I’m just hoping it’s not an aluminum alloy of some kind. I haven’t tried putting hot coals in it yet. It also looks to be about the same size as a gallon jug. If you want a fireplace or grill cleaning set that you are only going to use occasionally, this would probably work. If you rely on your fireplace for heat, I recommend something higher quality.

The bucket is small.
I was hoping this was bigger. It looks more like for show than for use. It’s cute and small. The brush is nice. The shovel is awkward. Kind of big, but it gets the job done. It’s ok. I wouldn’t buy it again. The gloves I am not sure they are fire proof. They look like cheap plastic. I’m afraid to use them. The wood gets very hot and I would like to use them in case the wood tries to fall out.
