Solid so far
TekPower TP50SW 50 Amp 13.8V Analog DC Power SupplyI installed the PS in my new GoBox for ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services). I had put it through several tests to verify that this is a solid unit. (So Far). I will update is anything changes.I was testing under a solid home and conditioned 120v power supply. Each test was with the same audio file on repeat to have the same amplitude for 12 second tx. Power supply radio and amp had a 20 min. worm up.NO LOADOn 13.8v switch did show 13.8v Meter needle dead on.Variable power setting I was able to dial up to 16.3v but note the higher I went from 13v. The more the adjustment was variant. So turning a quarter of a turn at lower voltage was steady. The same turn at higher voltage jumped and was harder to dial in to lets say 14.8v for like charging a Lifepo4 BMS battery.UNDER LOAD Xiegu G90 and Xiegu XPA125B,100W Power Amplifier 200w dummy loadG90 power on listen (stand by) mode. 0.43A @ 13.8v01w – 2.53A @ 13.8v05w – 2.83A @ 13.8v10w – 3.42A @ 13.8v15w – 3.91A @ 13.8v20w – 4.31A @ 13.7v This is full power for this radioBoth G90 and 100w ampFull Power producing 97w – 22.73A @ 13.4vConclusionSo far a rock solid power supply. We will see if it lasts. I will be doing several POTA activation in the spring.73

Great Quality
I purchased this power supply to run a Kenwood TS-590sg and a small amp. The build quality is good and there is no noise generated by it as seen on a Software Defined Radio. The voltage adjustment is handy for running lower voltage items. It also looks nice next to my equipment.I would definitely purchase another one if needed.

Very happy
Quite happy with this unit. Silent. Powers both my CB and GMRS. Absolutely worth the price, as i have cheaper ones that are loud all the time, even without draw.

Works Super!! Does not heat up!
This PSU works as described. I had read many of the reviews and knowing the item was not a BIG name brand, I took the risk. Arrived in a box surrounded by soft cushion padding and very nice looking. LED’s light up real nice and tested the unit on a 40 amp draw. (RM Italy HLA-300 Plus RF Amplifier) No issues, I mean no drops in voltage on my end. Works as it should. One thing to note when using this. You have a fixed DC output and variable. Based on your application, choose as needed. Also, the current meter is another switch. If you set the meter to the current setting, yes the voltage will not show as it’s not a dual meter. So in case you leave it on current and turn off the unit and come back and see the meter sitting at zero, don’t be alarmed, the voltage will only show on the voltage setting. So you may be thinking “Hey where’s the voltage?” — ya the meter is set on current. Just a share in case you get confused…..Overall feeling. I was concerned with birdies or noise being broadcasted on my AM radio, FM Radio, and my Ham Radio. Tested all bands and nothing was coming across, no issues to report. Very pleased.I have not tested this on a bench scope, but the price and the need of 40 amps (Never push a PSU to MAX rating, ideally 80% threshold, avoid the high peaks above 40 amps, just to save the life of a PSU – General rule of thumb. 80% for best efficiency. I know this PSU can do 50 amps, but that is the max, and pushing anything to max will change the life cycle of the item)I will get the 2nd one now to power some other items – I’m sold.

Great could be perfect.
I really like this power supply for the following reasons. It has no noise that I can detect. I’m currently only running a qrp radio off of it at 20 watts but it’s cool to the touch. I can adjust the voltage if I want. Comes in handy for extreme qrp and other things. And flip a switch and I have the standard 13.8v.Now in a perfect world and maybe they will consider this in a future model but there’s plenty of room on the front for usb ports, at least 4 of them and a couple of banana plug ports on the front.KQ4UHA Ham General Class

Great Power Supply for HAM Radio
This supply has been running my HAM setup now for about a year. It runs my Yaesu FTDX10 and my 2M Alinco DMR500 radio without issue concurrently. While it is not a linear supply, I have not found any evidence of any noise. On the other hand, likewise, the “Noise Offset” button has no apparent function — at least in my use case on 70cm, 2M, 10M, 15M, 20M, 30M, and 40M on my setup with my particular equipment.. your milege may vary. The included DC Cigarette outlet is also nice, however, it is limited to 10A. This is a silly limit, and I wish it wasnt there and could have been an opportunity for differentiation.. but… it’s not a deal breaker by any means. IT would have been nice to also include some USB QC 3.0 ports…. but I guess I can use the Cigarette outlet for that as well.Anyways, great supply.. get it. 5 Star. No regrets.

supply your own power cord.

Vraiment belle appareil, quelques options sur le devant de l’appareil. Fonctione très bien et vraiment silencieux avec mon ft-891. Je le recommande.

This is a great power supply… super stable after a quick warm up. The fan is silent as well. The only birdies I have found are on 80m and once the power supply warms up they diminish and don’t wander. If one is in your way a quick minute turn of a dial and it’s gone. Run my whole station on the one power supply and works great.Just get it… even if you don’t need 50A of current. I don’t but then again I’m barely working it am I? So theoretically it will last longer.73
