Boots cut into the leg. Don’t buy!
The boots were really bad. The hard material that runs up the boot, bents and cuts into the leg in less than a week.

Solid Fly Boots
So far, so good. These seem to be well made fly boots. I was a bit skeptical that fly boots would actually work, but they really do seem to help. They certainly decrease the stomping which can often result in chipped hooves. We will often leave them on for several days at a time (& remove for a couple). We also remove them if it gets really muddy out too. I like that they have the velcro closure that runs the full length of the boots. You should get a couple of seasons out of them depending on how hard your horse is on them. We used these on our 14.5 H QH mare with big feet and they fit fine and are nicely adjustable.

Poor sizing
These boots seem to taper far too dramatically at the ankle. Even on our 16.1 hand retired racing boy with thinner legs, the velcro barely reaches at the bottom. The top diameter is about right, as is the overall height, but the ankle makes these essentially unusable.The materials seem *fine*, but it’s all straight cuts without any stretch or flex to make them more fitted or comfortable. The faux fur fringe feels like something you’d get on a costume, and the plastic mesh feels like something you’d buy at a hardware store as a rabbit fence. The whole thing is stiff and does not move easily with the ankle. Then the full length velcro doesn’t allow for much customization of the fit, whereas better fly boots have multiple discrete straps so different areas can be adjusted more independently.All in all, I think these are not even worth the low price…spend 3x as much to get a product that’s 3x better.
