I was in the market for a base layer to wear under my heavier ski layers, and this one looked promising. I specifically wanted a quarter zipânot a crew neckâso I could ventilate if I got too warm or needed to cool off apres ski. This one fits the bill perfectly.What surprised me is how versatile it is. Itâs not just a base layerâitâs something I can wear on its own during spring or fall for dog walks, jogs, or just running errands. The fabric is lightweight but not flimsy, and it has just enough stretch to move with you without feeling clingy.For reference, Iâm 6’2″, 228 lbs, average frame. I usually wear XL or 2XL tops depending on the brand. I went with 2XL here and Iâm glad I didâit fits great. Not baggy, not tight. Just right for layering or wearing solo.Iâm picky about laundry, so I zipped it up, turned it inside out, and washed it in cold water with regular detergent. Itâs quick-dry, so I laid it across my drying rack, but I imagine a low tumble dry would be fine in a pinch. No shrinkage, no weird seams, no static cling.The quality far exceeds the price point. The stitching is clean, the zipper is smooth, and the fabric feels like something Iâd expect from a much more expensive brand. Itâs breathable, dries fast, and doesnât trap odor like some synthetics do.If youâre looking for a budget-friendly quarter zip base layer with an above-average weight, this is a solid choice. Light weight cheap feeling and looking work out shirt. Itâs made of that weird cheap bulk material that I donât really care for. Nothing special about it.

I ordered this quarter-zip pullover in a large sized and black color. Itâs very roomy and has a nice length. Itâs lightweight and 91% polyester and 9% spandex so itâs stretches but maintains its shape. I think itâs comfortable and perfect for when you want to layer and not get hot.
