Hideout with Stairs – Crested Gecko
I was on the lookout to give my crested gecko a secure place to retreat in his enclosure. This underground hide was simple to place and position in the substrate. It does slide around a bit due to the clay balls I have placed at the bottom of the enclosure for drainage, but packing substrate around the submerged portion has kept it firmly in place. for size reference, my full-sized adult gecko (tailless) fits comfortably at the base of the hide and curls up easily inside, though he cannot lay stretched out straight without his tail or feet riding up onto the steps. He has had no issues climbing in and out using the built in steps. Due to the open viewing sides, placing the hide against the glass allows me to observe him without disturbing him.The plastic feels sturdy and durable, though the provided feeding area at the top is not useful for liquid gecko diets as the lip is shallow and would allow food spillage. The overall size feels well balanced for smaller pets. It doesn’t overwhelm the enclosure, and because the hide sits below the substrate, it blends in naturally with his habitat and is barely noticeable once installed.Pros- Easy to place- Open sides allows visibility of pet- Durable feeling plastic- Underground placement does not take up much room in enclosureCons:- Slides easily if not anchored or supported- Top feeding platform is too shallow for holding liquid foods- May be too small for larger petsOverall, this hide has met my expectations. It was easy to install and has given my gecko a place to retreat without taking up much room in his enclosure.

Fun little hideout for hermit crabs
This hideout is just what I was looking for. My son wants a hermit crab setup and this little climbing tunnel is perfect. It fits in a corner so you can see what’s going on and they can climb into their hide.It’s durable and sturdy plastic. It’s going to be a good fit for his enclosure!
