Have you been lead to believe that these metal halide bulbs are the best at reproducing sunlight? – they are! If you have brightly colored day geckos and lush vegetation in your vivarium there is nothing that will show off the colors to a STAGGERING degree better than this light!

Bulb distance info is important. Can’t use it for my enclosure because the bulb is a bit too close according to the chart.

$70 dollar light buld no good
I bought a $70 Power Sun hid metal hydride reptile bulb and it arrived not working. After testing it with a multimeter I called the company to ask for a replacement. I was told that the light bulb needed a special unit to make it work NOT STATED ON THE ADVERTISEMENT. Zoo Med told me to pay for shipping so that they could test it. By the communications back and forth I am positive that I would be receiving the same non-functioning light bulb at my expense. Otherwise I could accept a replacement with NO GUARANTEE! Can you guess again what light bulb they would send me? How shady is that. Don’t waste your money with this company!

less than 3 months of actual use and it simply wont turn on anymore. I can see it trying to and then it just⦠doesnt.

Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing light is not for small enclosure tho has to be a 4 foot in length at least I’d say and u have to have it 36″ above basking spot !!! If u make sure of that this is by far the best light I’ve ever seen and used as far as strength and the only downside is it’s absolutely not going to be ur only source of heat period!!! So if ur looking for that don’t bother but if u want the best uvb for the longest amount of time then this is ur product the uvb in this bulb to my knowledge can last almost 2 years
