White rocks (after getting through the chalky part)
Although not as white as I would have liked, these ended up great for the planters that we have.I ordered the 5lb 1-2 inch version.First off though, I was quite confused by the white powder that coated the bag and the rocks. After rinsing them off for our indoor plants, they were fine.Given that I have ordered rocks before, I knew 5 lb was only a pouch full of rocks – as in less than a full gym sack (basketball drawstring bag). However, I knew that would be good enough for me, as I already ordered one set of rocks from another brand and knew what to expect this time. Rocks are heavy, so I get it. I do wish these vendor have a better way to show how much 5 lb is though.The size of the 1-2 inches is fairly accurate! They are rocks of all sort of shaped, but nothing sharp or out of the ordinary. I think 1-2 inches are a great size. I find if you want bigger rocks for landscaping, you might want it more evenly shaped (but I guess it depends on what you are looking for).I thought the price was reasonable. I find landscaping rocks not cheap overall.Love how white rocks look in planters and as decor! Really adds to the look of a plant in a pot!

Prefect for my Aquarium
This was perfect for my aquarium and I’ll definitely be getting a couple more to complete the set up for my aquatic turtle. The rocks are very nice and deep in color, it’s hard to find rocks that both look natural and look identical to keep a natural flow and look going in the tank and these fit the bill. Each rock is almost match prefect in color with only a very slight variation in color, prefect for the dark river bottom look I’m trying to achieve. Each rock is similarly sized too, about 2in in diameter making a prefect little pile of rocks in my aquarium that doesn’t look like gravel. The rocks are smooth too, as river rocks should be, and will work for keeping my turtle safe as she tends to dig around in her tank. They appear to be pretty durable too, another bonus as Turtles are not the most cautious or delicate with handling their environment or things surrounding them. Overall they’re great looking river rocks that work perfectly in an aquarium, they would also work great for landscaping or a flower pot of your trying to do that sort of thing. But me they worked great, highly recommend!

These rocks are ok, but not worth the price based on the amount received. For $15, you don’t get many rocks. I don’t recommend.

These black stones are perfect in a fountain
Weâve had this fountain since the early 1990s. Not once did it ever occur to us to add nice stones to the top tier. The light came on when I saw these great black stones!The reason for even having stones in the top tier is to displace waterâ¦make more water overflow through the holes feeding the big bowl below. These stones are perfect for that. They add bulk for water displacement and look good while they are doing it. I added the stones before cleaning the fountain because of the cold, snow and ice. I needed the water to flow strongly to prevent it from freezing. So now the weather has really warmed up and we had a chance to clean the fountain. Gone are the old stones and in are the new black stones. Looks great but it lacks enough displacement for the next freeze. So 20# of black stones are sitting in my cart!What is there to say about stones? These are polished. They are not exactly the same size, which is nice for my water displacement needs. The smaller stones fill in nicely the spaces between the bigger stones. The black color looks good with the color of the fountain. All in all, I am a happy camper.
