THOROUGH REVIEW: Please Read BEFORE Buying/Assembling… NOT for tiny birds
This is a thorough review from an experienced parrot owner. Please read entirely for pros, cons, tips, safety, etc.**** Please note: this cage is NOT for birds smaller than cockatiels. Bar spacing of the floor grate is too wide for smaller birds. See CONS section of my review. **** THIS CAGE IS SAFE IF USED CORRECTLY FOR THE CORRECT BIRD ****Let me preface this by saying I’ve been working with parrots for 25 years… in pet stores (small stores, not chains), rescue, my own birds, and boarding. I have put a lot of cages together over the years. I have seen things I liked in cage design, and a lot of things I did not like that just were not practical. I really like this cage. There are a couple of minor details I do not like, but those things are minor and really are not enough to detract from the over all cage design, at least not for me.Pros:Cage is very light and easy to maneuver around the room, wheels roll nice, 2 have wheel locks. Great for those who struggle with moving heavier cages.Fairly easy to put together. The instructions for this cage are some of the best instructions I have come across. Most cage assembly instructions are not this clear. Kudos to whoever made the instruction packet.Cage is fairly sturdy despite being so light. Someone clearly had an understanding of parrots and cage design when they came up with this.Storage space beneath the cage for food, dishes, perches, toys, etc. is a big plus.Nice strong plastic trays. Don’t usually care for plastic because it gets brittle over time, but these have more of a rubber feel. I suspect they’ll last a lot longer than standard plastic trays. Much lighter than metal trays.Comes with a cover. The cage cover is magnetic (at the top) and wraps around the cage. Provides fairly complete darkness. If you have a bird that doesn’t like complete darkness, you can leave a section undone. *****TIP: start at a corner, not randomly in the middle of a wall – this keeps the edge of the cover near the corner of the cage where it’s harder for a parrot to pull it through the bars and chew it. *** SAFETY ISSUE: I personally would remove the cover entirely when the bird is on top of the cage so as to prevent access to the magnets, especially if your bird is an aggressive chewer. Both doors open WIDE. You can open one at a time or both doors. Do you know how many cages have small doors and make it hard to get a bird out? A lot of them. This is a huge benefit when working with a scared bird, or if you are someone with a disability who can’t exactly get into a small door. It’s also great when you need to reach certain areas of the cage to scrub clean. THANK YOU FOR BIG DOORS.Cons:Ladder on the play stand on top of the cage is a little flimsy. Would love to see a slightly sturdier version. Just a couple more millimeters in thickness, nothing major. Not a dealbreaker, just personal preference for heavier birds.Metal flaps that prevent doors and food doors from opening are plain steel metal. I would prefer they matched the cage color and were a little sturdier. But they function fine otherwise. Not a dealbreaker, but personal preference.Door knobs at bottom of cage doors could be a little sturdier, but they work just fine. I would have liked a matching set at the top of the door instead of the steel flap at the top. Would make opening the door a little easier. Maybe the manufacturer can redesign this part and put knobs at the top. Not a dealbreaker, mild design flaw. I’ve dealt with enough bird cages for this to not really be an issue with me.Edited review TO ADD: Cage bars are slightly flimsy. So if you have heavy perches and heavier birds, perches need to be mounted closer to the vertical bars vs in the middle of the horizontal bars. This will help make perches sturdier. HOWEVER, this can be remedied with 3″ steel washers with a 1/4″ center hole changed out for the washer that come with perches. The larger washer allows for heavier perches to be mounted more in the middle of the horizontal bars and makes them much much sturdier. This is a design flaw I hope the manufacturer can work on. New picture added to the photos already uploaded.***SAFETY ISSUE (PLEASE READ): The FLOOR GRATE is NOT conducive to keeping birds smaller than cockatiels. If the bar spacing was reduced to roughly 1/3″ like other cages, instead of 3/4″, budgies and lovebirds could be kept safely. The current bar spacing of the floor grate allows for heads to get stuck. ***This would be a great thing for the manufacturer to improve upon.******SAFETY ISSUE: Bar spacing on the main cage IS NOT safe for parrotlets/canaries/finches even if the floor grate was switched to one with smaller bar spacing. 1/2″ spacing on the main cage is too big to be used as a flight cage for tiny birds. ***A safe for tiny birds version of this cage would be a great thing for the manufacturer to design. Keep this version for bigger birds, but design another like it for tiny birds because it would be a great flight cage.*********BEFORE ASSEMBLY, READ THIS…The instructions were well thought out. But I would like to point out a few things for those not too familiar with cage building. You will struggle if you miss these key points.STEP 2 & 3: Part W is the floor of the storage section. Part W absolutely MUST have the flat side face up, indented side down. Part W MUST have the side with the tiny square slot on the flat side at the FRONT of the cage. Find it BEFORE you assemble it. If part W is assembled wrong, you can not install Part Y or the shelf in STEP 4.STEP 5: When assembling the storage roof (part V), attach the back of the roof first. You need to be able to lift the front slightly to fit part Y (the vertical piece that holds the shelf in place) into place. The underside of the roof (part V) has the same square slot as the top of the floor (part W). Once part Y is in place, the front of the roof can be secured into place.STEP 10: Attach the front of the cage roof (part A) first. Do NOT attach the back of the roof until the pegs on the top of the back walls (part E x 2) are slotted into the holes on part A. Once that is done, then secure the back of part A in place.—–>>>STEP 13: THERE IS A TYPO. You need the parts labeled #3, NOT #10. #10 does not fit. The instructions are labeled correctly in the image, but NOT in the written part.******Overall, as someone who has assembled a LOT of bird cages over 25 years, this is a decent cage and I would absolutely buy it again. I like the overall design, despite a couple design flaws, and I like how easy it was to put together thanks to CLEAR instructions. THANK YOU FOR ACTUALLY MAKING CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS!!!——->>>>That said, I would like to see the manufacturer update the product description a little better in regards to bar spacing size both in the cage bars and the floor grate to prevent someone with tiny birds getting this and not be able to use it.—–>>>This cage is SAFE, for the CORRECT birds. Again, nothing smaller than a cockatiel. Nothing bigger than a grey/Amazon/goffin.Side note: I no longer keep my own birds. But I do board birds and ordered this because I needed another boarding cage. The bird in one picture is a boarder, she is elderly, and she does have toys, they’re just out of sight in the picture. Ignore the green and branch perches in the cage, they’re mine, they don’t come with the cage. It’s not yet set up for boarding as I just finished assembling it.

Terrible don’t buy this not worth using!!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:TERRIBLE… I bought two of these. They are pretty and the cabinets are what I needed. These are terrible bird cages and I am not only unhappy after the money I spent but now left to buy actual good cages. As some other people have shown, cage bars can be bent, the spacing is not ideal on bottom grate. And my perches do not hold on the very weak flimsy poorly built cage bars so when my birds are on them they make the cage bars twist and the perches flop around. The front doors don’t open smoothly at times because the cage can twist and then the doors can drag across the frame. To top all of this off. It’s been a few weeks and if toy clips haven’t scraped paint off on areas. My birds have taken TO EASILY EATING PAINT OFF THE BARS. Not cool at all. Just buy another cage and forget how pretty this one LOOKS because it’s a piece of garbage and you will spend money later down the road to buy an actual bird cage so do yourself a favor and don’t buy this one.Â

Happy Bird, Happy Life
1. This cage is about triple the size of my smaller cage and twice the price, and it has a lot more qualities than my smaller cage. This cage is worth its value.2. The assembly is a long process when building it alone, but it can be accomplished with patience and time. The instructions were very helpful, but it can be improved upon.3. The bars on the cage are a bit flimsy, so you need to be mindful of the weight for your bird toys/perches (if they are heavy, they will lean downward from the wall bars).4. My favorite parts about this product are the wheels, wide doors, cabinet storage, playtop, and spacious room. However, the playtop needs a built-in grill to cover the plate because my bird loves to scavenge it for left over food and leaves a mess on the floor.5. I can not express how deeply grateful I am to the seller/customer service. They communicated quickly and straight to the point. I had 2 parts arrive damaged which they sent free replacement parts for.

Ok, but instructions vary
I have 2 and the instructions were different for both. They are ok for what we use them for, could be a little better.

Not Happy
This size is nice. Having said that, multiple bars were bent, 2 bowls were bent, and 2 of the screws were stripped which makes me wonder if the cage we received was a return. The spacing of the wires on the grate at the bottom measured over an inch so we had to cut up cardboard and lay Kraft paper over them so our Ringneck doesnât get hurt. I took a few photos, but wish I had taken more because these donât do justice to multitude of things wrong with this cage. The images of the bent bars were taken after we had tried to bend them back to the way they should have been originally. Having said that, itâs put together now and it would be way too much of an inconvenience to try and ship this thing back. We will buy another cage at some point in the future. I am very disappointed in this purchase which was not cheap by the way. A partial refund would be nice but I donât expect it.

looks nice and very roomy
As good as any cage on Amazon. Nice looking and roomy. I use mine for cockatiel, he loves it. Easy to assemble, easy to clean.

Great flight cage.
This cage is roomy for my six parakeets. They are able to fly around easily. The downside is that there arenât any small doors to access the inside of the cage. There are two large doors but my birds fly out when I open it. I had to buy are large popup tent to go over the cage for cleaning. The bottom grate bar spacing is too large for little birds feet. I bought a padded door mat to cover the grate. The storage beneath the cage is roomy.
