Amazing product, must have for cats that pick at carpet doors!
My cat loves to wake me up by picking at the carpet if the door is closed. He has learned that I jump up and stop him if he does this as he is big on carpet destroying in door ways. We lost $200 at the last apartment due to him doing this over time and slowly damaging it too the fibers of the carpet. Even when we used blankets or towels to stop him the problem persisted. I wish I knew of this back then, at our new apartment we did this before he did damage and now he has stopped the habit as the plastic protects the doorway and I donât mind if he scratches the plastic, my rolling medical cart canât go over it well, I donât trip on it. My only complaint may be that it should be a bit wider, however we just layered it with two but that does increase the potential for tripping on it which I did once before I learned my lesson, but over all it stays put and stops the damage which I appreciate. Definitely buy now if you are considering it !

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So far so good I like that it was larger than the actual door opening so I could customize the size. It was easy to cut with scissors, and the cat didn’t mess with it.

We have a one-year-old kitten that found a tiny gap between two sections of our carpet. Without this, it would have been a giant hole by now, but now the section is protected. The material feels a little like a chair protector and was easy to cut to fit in our doorway. Most of the time we don’t notice that it’s there.

Dont use on hard floors
Be careful if you’re using this in a doorway that has tile or hardwood flooring on one side. It caused some floor damage, but was fine on the carpeted side
