An effective intervention for cat scratching that ruins your furniture or wall paper
I am a new cat mom, with three cats. Two are scratchers and my largest cat has decided my old recliner is the best place to scratch. Never mind that there is a scratching post right next to it! Apparently, digging your claws into fabric instead of cardboard is much more satisfying. My smallest cat has decided the textured wallpaper in my hallway is going to be her go-to-scratching station. There is no stopping her because there is so much footage she can access. She has actually ripped some long strands of paper off the wall, so no more Mrs. Nice Guy. I got these stick-on anti-scratch protectors as an intervention.You get eight crystal clear sheets that are 14âx11â and four smaller ones that are 14âx6â. The sheets are very easy to cut to size. They are waterproof, re-positionable, and they leave no residue when removed. I will say that they are super easy to install. The directions say to measure and cut before applying, but I found it very easy to just stick it on and trim it afterwards, or during the installation. I am grateful to have found something to discourage my cats from tearing up my furniture and wall paper.I took a few pictures to show you what I received: 1- as they arrived, in pkg; 2- one large sheet, out of the pkg; 3- clarity and easy peel backing; 4- one large sheet w ruler; 5- large sheet in use on my recliner.This product really works to keep your cats from ruining your furniture. Furniture is expensive to replace, so these “cat shields” are a bargain by comparison. I love my furry babies to bits, but not the damage they can cause. Helps to protect surfaces from cat scratches
One of my cats doesnât know how to use a door ringer to let us know that she wants to go out. She keeps scratching the door. I got this so I can protect that area. This is like a thicker rectangular tape which adheres to surfaces. It works fine to protect the surface from cat scratches. My cat was kind of like what the heck, my scratch canât make much sounds anymore. Itâs sturdy enough and I think it should last some time but when I need to replace it, there are 11 more in the package (this is a pack of 12). Itâs not permanent, you can remove and reposition if you mess up. I did vacuum and dust the area to lessen debris so they donât get caught inside when installing. It was easy to put on. I used painters tape to keep them aligned and used a towel to smooth it down. Iâm happy, my cat probably not.

Heavy Glossy Clear Protective Sheets Work Well
The resealable package contains 8 sheets 11″ x 14″ and 4 sheets 6″ x 14″. I don’t know what kind of plastic it is, it does not feel oily or waxy, so it is probably safe on most surfaces. Maybe similar to the plastic used for laminating. The sheets are thick enough to resist punctures and the adhesive is strong and really sticks. (Obviously don’t use on a fragile surface.) After a few days, it still peels on and off fabric and wood without leaving a residue or damaging the finish. It reattaches just fine, so it can be moved and reused at least several times. If you need to cut it, do so before removing the backing sheet or your scissors will stick to the adhesive.This can be used to protect from animals, but also from people rubbing or banging into a surface. It looks like a fine product.

Works great and stays stuck
I got a new cat and new furniture around the same time, and havenât had a day go by yet without stress over the scratching. I tried spraying the furniture with diluted vinegar, and that worked beautifully until my cat developed a sensitivity to vinegar. I then tried double-sided tape, and that too was a fail. This product works great, is perfectly clear, and has been well worth the cost. It comes with 8 large sheets and 4 half sheets, and is easy to cut to the size needed. If I could make one tiny request of the seller, it would be to try to create something less reflective, as this does not disappear into the furniture like Iâd hoped. But thatâs on a wish list, and doesnât affect the effectiveness or earned 5-star rating. I wish I had bought this months ago.

Just note they are ONE sided stick- thicker and pretty shiny (though clear plastic)
This is DEF what it says- ONE SIDED… wasn’t really paying attention and thought I was getting replacement sticky protector to help more deter them from scratching…think this will more so protect the furniture (or whatever you are using it on) from the motion IF they do scratch. ? I dunno- guess it has helped stop them some too! They don’t seem to like the feel any more than they do the sticky stuff.My biggest con is that it’s SO visible as it’s shiny and in my living room with all the sun- it really stands out. Pro- worth it for now to save my nice furniture as I figure out other methods to stop these nuts- never had kitties scratch my furniture like this! I’m missing something I did 20 some years ago last time I raised kittens 😉 lol….One more pro- a tad easier than most sticky tapes to apply… except the ones with two pieces of backing that you peel off from the middle- that’s even easier than finding a corner on these to get it started. ?? I had a bit of trouble with that but very easy once you get it going! I’d LOVE it if these type things had a tiny little starter tab to get the backing off much easier!!ALL in all a great value and do what they advertise!!

Easy to use and very effective.
We have 3 cats and although we have cat scratchers all over the house they occasionally like to scratch on our recliners. I have had a few different brands of couch protectors and this one works really well. It comes in sheets and you can cut them for the size you need or use the entire sheet. They are easy to cut and stick on really well. I appreciate that these don’t require any pins to hold the sheet on. I feel like the ones that have the pins don’t stick as well and are harder to use. You can also use these on walls and other various places which is nice. These are easy and very effective and worth the money.
