Very Sturdy and Secure to the Glass
These suction cups actually stay on the glass and haven’t loosened once in the water of the turtle tank at all. I would definitely purchase again, though with how well-made the product is I am sure I won’t need to.

When I purchased this item, I didn’t pay attention to where the suction cups are located. I have a rock type background and the end cup has nothing to hang onto, so only the 2 cups on the side work in my vivarium. Also, the pic is a bit misleading. It looks like it would fit on the left but only fits on the right side. My juvenile snake barely fits on this ledge and falls off it often so I just purchased the biggest one I could find that I can use on the right or left and has a heavy magnetic hold. I paid much more for it but I think it’s worth it. My snake is just too big now to fit this ledge. So I don’t think it was worth the purchase and I would return this item if it wasn’t past the date of return.

Adheres well to the tank, our slider enjoys basking on it plus another platform
This little basking platform is fine, but our yellow-bellied slider is going to outgrow it pretty quickly, so it would definitely be better for a turtle that will remain small (up to 4″ in shell). In the meantime, we have it setup next to a slightly different one to give our little guy more space to climb up and bask under his lamp. Suction cups work well and it’s easy to clean when we deep-clean the tank.

Hallow Death Trap
So, when I first got this, I would have easily given this a 5 star rating. I loved the size, the looks, the size of the suction cups, and the strength of the suction cups were awesome. After only week of owning, I became highly disappointed. First off, one of the suction cups came out of the island after just one use. I didn’t pull on the island, but the little tab that was on the suction cup. I was able to able to super glue it back into the hole it came out of. During the second time, the other suction cup did the exact same thing, so I repeated the process of super gluing the suction cup back into the cup. I used the majority of one container of the thick gel super glue for an FYI.With this being a floating island, there was a bit of a sag towards the tip. Granted, only two out of the three suction cups were attached to the walls of my frogs oddly shaped temporary container, so that was to be expected. The thing that I hated the most of this product was the fact that it was hallow, which created a deep pocket. I understand that this was most likely done in order to make this island light weight and cheaper, but it became a death trap. Three of my frogs got trapped underneath the pocket of this island and drowned. After finding this out, I immediately threw this product in the trash to prevent my other frogs from drowning. Mind you, this product was partially submerged to allow my frogs easy access to get on top. Only the top piece of land was out of the water for my frogs to chill on, which my live frogs did.To the company that produces this item, please consider updating this item with a flat bottom. Also, please consider using a bit more silicone to anchor the suction cups into the island.

iâve had it for about 5 months now, and the suctions are no longer strong. i donât think there is any way to replace the suctions as they are glued onto the dock
