Adorable and functional wrap
I was skeptical at first as the wrap reminded me of a babyâs blanket. Upon further inspection I realized that the grey side sticks to the colorful printed side. Itâs so subtle but effective. The next step was to find my elusive, squirmy cat. Iâll admit, there is a bit of a learning curve and the first couple of times she was able to wiggle herself out of it. With a little patience, the third time was a charm. She looked like a little burrito with one paw sticking out. She decided for me, which nails to trim. Got that paw done quickly and then set her free. Enough for one day. Will attack the next paw or two another time. Now the stress of nail trimming will be easier for the both of us and no need for two people for this âfunâ task. Iâm sure the wrap will be good in the future for medication administration. I think this wrap is a great tool and comes at a reasonable price. I wish I had one years ago.Earns 5 stars because this cat wrap has lessen the anxiety and stress for the both of us when it comes to nail clipping.

Like an Extra Set of Hands When You Need One for Your Squirmy Cats
This cat immobilization wrap is particularly helpful for managing a squirmy feline or small dog (like a puppy or yorkie) during medical care and grooming. Itâs made of a soft microfiber-like fabric with a printed side and a gray side that somehow stick together securelyâkind of like silent Velcro, but without the noise that would send my cat into panic mode. That silence is a huge plus when you need to reposition or remove the wrap without drama.The key is to wrap your cat FIRMLYâif itâs too loose, theyâll Houdini their way out in the way that cats are so amazing at doing. Iâve found that tossing a few treats into the center helps positively reinforce the experience and gets my cat to associate the wrap with good things. When the cat is on the wrap, face them diagonally across it so the head is toward one corner and the tail is facing the catty corner side. Flip the wrap corner over the tail, then wrap the two other corners Firmly around your cat. Finally, use the last corner where your cat’s front feet are sticking out and wrap that around the front and thorax of your cat. I have photos of doing this with two different cats because they both wanted treats and both were jumping into the middle of the wrap to get them.When treating a cat medically or doing grooming, give a small amount of treat first, then a few during the middle of the procedure, then a larger amount at the end of the procedure. It is generally important in life to not give your cats treats for reasons other than being cooperative or doing desired behaviors. Giving your cat treats just because you are near the treat drawer is a surefire way to disincentive your cat from being cooperative. Imagine it like thisâif you got paid the same for going to work for the day or staying home, which would you choose? Make your cat work for any treats and they will be more cooperative. I was able to trim my one catâs claws last week with zero restraint, just a few pieces of dry food. That is the power of good training. I also do training sessions before any actual medical or grooming intervention, which makes a big difference.Once properly wrapped, this thing is surprisingly secure. You can actually lift your cat using just the wrap, as you can see me doing with two different cats in my photos. Both the cats in the photos are a little bit heavier than 11 lbs. I wish this wrap was about 4 inches larger for cats this size. If you have cats larger than 11 lb, you may need to get a larger wrap as I feel there wasn’t a lot of extra room available when wrapping these two up.Overall, the wrap is perfect for giving pills, applying eye drops, treating ear infections, trimming nails, or doing minor grooming. Honestly, every cat owner should have one. itâs like having an extra set of hands when you need them most.
