Love the Auguson farm brand!
I have many of Auguson Farm freeze dried items, and love them. The quality is always excellent, and the brand is one Iâve grown to trust over the last decade or so.The peas, once hydrated, taste as wonderful as freshly hulled peas.Cannot recommend enough.
Unbiased –
Just pea-rfect.
Sometimes when I make pasta, I don’t feel like using the strainer to get the water out. I just use the lid, then I throw some of these in and they absorb the remaining water, and I’ve added some protein so the dish is healthier too. And then I can add some butter, olive oil, parmesan, and/or lemon. So they’re kind of like oxygen absorbers, except they absorb water, and they’re edible, and tasty. I guess that’s an off-label use, but I’m cool with it. I even use them as a main ingredient sometimes. I’m not a pea connoisseur, and I’m sure you could tell the difference if you did an A/B test with a real pea in front of you, but for all practical purposes these are just fine, and even better in some ways.

It works.
Great to add to all kinds of meals, in casseroles, soups and wrap fillings. For me this is better than canned or frozen. Need a bigger freezer.

Fits well with all the other stuff I have in storage.
Hard to rate an item like this, since it may not be actually opened for another dozen years. It is a big bucket of stuff. It is doing a great job of sitting in storage. Fits perfectly with all of the other cans of the same size. Will update in 20 years with a review of the contents.

I use these…
I use these to make my own freeze dried camping meals and they do the job, but they’re not great. Not overly flavorful, and a little flaky. Their, peppers and corn reconstitute better than these peas, but the peas are better than the carrots. Still, I think they’re good enough for an emergency, or a camping dinner…. I even use them for soups and stews at home from time to time. So, yeah, they’re OK!

Yummy
I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. These are actually good. I’m impressed. Will buy again and will recommend.

Kechi’s friend always –
Wonderful in Raman noodles and soups!
We try before we stock in prepper storage. These are yummy and actually sweet! I’ve used them in all kinds of broths and soups but I think one of our favorite is these and the corn in Raman noodles and Japanese stir fried noodles! I also toss a handful in the food I cook for our mastiffs and they eat them too! They spit out canned! LoL. Plan on these being a staple in both pantries! Did I mention they’re sweet? Yum!
