Really cool cat tracker!
I’d like to preface this by saying I am not a techy person, and I was easily able to get this setup and ready to use. I’ve wanted to get one of these for awhile, but didn’t want to get one with a monthly subscription so this one has been perfect for me. It works with either apple or Google find hub and you literally just have to pair it up and it starts working right away. My cat likes to escape out of the house on occasion so that’s what I’m using it for. He normally doesn’t venture far, but he doesn’t always answer when we call for him so that’s where this comes in handy. In addition to the GPS locator, it also has an option to emit a sound so I can easily find where my cat is hiding. In case you can’t hear it, there’s also a feature that fills in this circle the closer you get to the air tag which is great for location within a smaller area. I absolutely love this and it works great. The only thing I would caution on is sizing, so my cat is a bit on the larger size (16 lbs) but thankfully not in his head area lol otherwise I don’t think this collar would have fit him. We have it pretty much let all the way out and it fits him about perfect, so if you have a larger cat the collar might not be large enough.

Not perfect, but itâs somethingâ¦
Although Iâve only had this for a few days and not used it for the purpose for which it is intended, I did want to go ahead and post this kind of early review, which I will update.I ordered this cat GPS collar for a future cat which I intend to adopt in early spring (now Nov) and turn into a barn cat, so I thought it would be very nice to keep some track of it. In the meantime, I tested it out on my little Jack Russell mix.Itâs very easy to set up with the included instructions and itâs very simple. If youâve ever used an apple AirTag, it works the same way and sets up the same way in your FindMy app.It offers the same beeping function to help locate it and tracking. I did a very minimal test by placing the collar about 100 feet away from me and trying to track it and it said it was with me, so thatâs not awesome if you canât see the animal among trees or under a bed or inside a shed, etc., but I will say the beeping is great. Very audible. It only does it for a couple of seconds and then youâd need to repeat it if you didnât hear it or find it, but it does work well.It comes with an ostensibly long-lasting, replaceable battery, which requires an included key. (An upgrade would be if it were rechargeable.)It comes with a black nylon âsafetyâ collar with reflective paw prints and a little bell. I noticed that I never heard the bell while it was on my dog, but I expect one would if, say, the animal were scratching its neck or jumping down from a height. As far as the release mechanism, itâs a plastic clasp, cutely in the shape of a cat head, that with a firm tug comes apart. I worry that it requires a bit too firm a tug and feel that an elastic inset is safer, but the GPS holder (black rubber with an open paw print design) is detachable and could be put on a different collar.I canât yet speak to durability and longevity and ability to keep track of a ranging animal, but so far it seems good and should give a little peace of mind and I will update!

Not GPS
So, this is not an actual GPS tracker as the add states, it’s an air tag which operates off of your phone or devices Bluetooth. This would be sufficient if you’re looking to keep tabs on an indoor pet but not to in locating them if they’ve wandered off or escaped.

We like it, Yuri does not.
We inherited a cat a few months ago. It is an inside cat but we let it outside to explore when we are out. He has learned he can jump a low spot in the fence and doesn’t like to come back when called. So we needed a way to track him if he gets too far away before we notice he has escaped. This is nicely made and looks nice. Fortunately I got it on him without a fight. Then he noticed he had something on and tried to move his head every which way to get it off. It stayed on. But he didn’t like it. It has been a day and he has become resigned to the fact that he will announce his approach with a little bell. Hooked up to my Android find hub quickly.

Android Bluetooth tracking, break-away collar
The plus: It works with android bluetooth Find Hub, it’s super easy to set up, it’s a break-away collar, so if kitty gets caught on a branch or like that, the collar just comes off and kitty avoids being injured. This works great, as we had one on our outside/feral cat for some time. Because it is not an actual GPS finder, that’s why it is so much more affordable – and no subscription is required to know where kitty is.The negative: Find Hub depends upon connecting with yours and other bluetooth devices in the area. If kitty roams someplace more remote, where a device is unlikely, then Find Hub can’t work to locate kitty or the collar. And this is what happened to our previous collar. I had found the collar a few times, but the last time – because we are in a very rural area, he must have caught it on something in a remote location – and I never could find it.But – 4 stars because it does work, and it does help to locate your pet, which does give a peace of mind. Plus it’s interesting to see kitty’s location from time to time.

Works well, and is super lightweightâmy picky cat actually wears it!
⢠Lightweight design doesnât bother my cat, even though he hates harnesses and won’t walk around in those because of the weight⢠Works seamlessly with both iPhone (Apple Find My) and Android (Google Find Hub)⢠Reflective paw print accents are adorable and great for low-light visibility⢠Can find the cat more easily, and offers comfort in case he gets outside! He actually walks around in it with no complaints, which says everything. A win for both of us!

Gives generalized location not specific
It’s easy to set up, it doesn’t require a subscription, and it looks really nice overall. The only problem I have is that it lags on location and it only gives a generalized area, not a specific point. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and I like to keep tabs on her in case she isn’t home by dinner like usual. It’s nice for knowing general location but if you want to use it for exact tracking this isn’t for you. I will say though that it does hold up well to the elements.
