Item defective – ORAPXI Pool pH Meter and Salinity 6 in 1 Tester – Unreturnable if used.
Since this cannot be returned if defective, I would steer clear of this one and find a better option. This was delivered on 06/23/2025 and I calibrated the pH level and the EC level (12.88ms/cm) for a saltwater pool per the instructions provided. Opening my pool, I used the ORAPXI Pool pH Meter and Salinity 6 in 1 Tester twice a day until 06/30/2025. Out of the box it measured Free Available Chlorine (FAC) at 0.0ppm. Even though I filled the pool with city water, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I shocked the pool and the ORAPXI Pool pH Meter and Salinity 6 in 1 Tester tested the pool at 0.2ppm FAC. I ordered the Taylor K-1005 DPD, 9-in1 Pool Test Kit. I added liquid chlorine to the pool and the ORAPXI Pool pH Meter and Salinity 6 in 1 Tester tested the pool at 0.3ppm FAC. Using the Taylor test kit, I verfied that my calculations were right, the pool tested at 5.0ppm FAC. The ORAPXI meter never tested the pool above 0.3ppm FAC. The ORAPXI meter pH measurement was spot on with the K-1005 test kit. Salinity measured as calculated. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) was continually 20ppm less than salinity (could be a big issue). EC seemed to calibrated to the 12.88ms/cm correctly. The EC reading seemed to respond accordingly to changes of the pool chemistry. Not sure if I can trust the Oxygen-Reduction Potential (ORP) reading. I am not expecting lab enviroment results, but I feel if you are going to market a device like this, the measurements could be much better.

The unit was not initially working until i removed and reinstalled the batteries, since then the tester has been working well. Seems to give an accurate reading.

DO NOT BUY!Products reading is significantly off, calibration cannot be completed because all instructions are in chinese and it does not come with salt calibration solution, then when trying to return the return label does not have postage.Find another option, this was a waste of time and money.

Pros:Accurate salt reading.Includes PH calibration packets.Cons:The PH reading is not accurate. Reads 8.4 when the water is actually 6.9. Will not calibrate or perform PH reset as per the instructions in the manual.Batteries died after two tests. It came with an extra set of batteries, which was nice.There is a small white particle inside the lcd screen which moves around and is annoying.Since I bought it months before I actually used it, I am unable to return it.It seems to work for many people, maybe I got a dud. I would advise not buying it until you plan to use it in order to be able to return if you get a defective one like I did.
