Works Exactly as Described â Protects Doors from Puppy Scratches
Product is exactly as described and gets the job done! Super easy to use â no confusion at all. I put these on my bedroom door and front door to prevent scratches from my puppy whoâs still in training, and theyâve worked perfectly so far.

The anti-cat scratch furniture cover is good for a lot of different things I’m using it to protect my bathroom cabinet from the water and it works perfect five stars

Avoid damage!
Nice size sheets of plastic and easy to place on the corners of loveseat where the cat wreaks havoc! Clear and not noticeable. Smart idea at a reasonable price!

Frustrating product.
This is a well thought out idea but packaged poorly and not entirely efficient. My cats didn’t so much scratch our couches as they would hang on to the bottom and zoom around the sides with their claws in the entire way, think cat zip-lining, just on the floor.. This product was quite frustrating to work with as I tried to line the bottom of my couch with it to block their nail forged pathway. The backing is very hard to get off and if you have dip-gel nails like I do, forget about getting under the paper to pull it off. It does come with multiple sizes, is thick and sturdy and overall is a smart idea. However, it just didn’t prevent our cats from clawing at the bottom of the couch and with repeated use it eventually wore away, fell off, got stuck to use, etc. It does come with tacks but I did not feel it was safe to use them on my couch. I can not recommend this product for rambunctious cats.

Impossible packaging
Absolutely horrible product. Next to impossible to separate the plastic from the backing. We had to scrape it inch by inch. I won’t even give it one star but it was required.

Covers fabric without looking bad or the bulk of a 70s style plastic cover
We have two new kittens, and while for the most part they are good about not clawing on the furniture, there are a couple of spots in our house where they have been digging in, despite having many scratching posts available both around the home and also in the spots of concern, as we moved them there to show the preferred alternative. However, they have yet to catch on in two specific places, so we thought we would try this kit.It is basically a scratch-resistant adhesive vinyl, cut into 4 large pieces and 4 small strips. It was enough to cover the areas of concern, however – it stretched across the arm of one chair that has a sort of nubby fabric on it and also covered a couple of spots on a bench that we have at the foot of the bed. If you have larger spots, you will need multiple kits, and it would be a good idea to measure before purchase.I tried the application in two ways – I used the adhesive part on the front of the chair, as it faces into the room, so that you don’t see it from a distance. The photo shows that it really blends in pretty well, aside from being a bit shiny (pink arrow is where it’s applied, yellow shows where it is not). It was sticky enough to stay on the fabric, but did not appear to damage it when I pulled up a corner to test it. You are supposed to cut off the excess, although I just used full panels on all the areas except the front of the arm. You secure the pieces with twisting pins, another way to ensure that they aren’t pulled down. These pins gave me the other option for how I used it – putting them on without the adhesive, since the bench is just in our bedroom and I am not concerned about the look. In this application I used just the pins, rather than using the adhesive as well (I just kept the backing paper in place). My thought for this was the if the kittens found another location and transferred their scratching to that spot I would have the ability to move the panels. It’s a bit hard to say how well the product works, only due to the fact that the kittens have not tried to claw the areas while we are watching since I put it up. They have played in the area, but not seemed to touch the covered parts. This alone is a good sign, although it doesn’t give me much information about how it would work with cats who are more determined to scratch furniture. However, I get the principle of the adhesive film, and know from other applications (car) that this type of protection can be quite effective. I am hoping that as time goes on I’ll continue to see that the cats are deterred from clawing in these spots, but so far, so good! Overall, for the price it’s a reasonable option to try.

Success
Working so far on the new sofa. Rosie is a real scratcher and these sheets really deter her.
