Product description

To maximize plant growth, the pH level of your nutrients should be slightly acidic. Experienced growers consider the ideal pH for most crops to fall between 5.5 and 6.5. Users of Standard Hydroponics nutrient products generally do not experience problems maintaining the proper pH range because our formulas are NOT pH buffered. However, some important exceptions do exist. pH can acidify to an unacceptable level when nutrient solutions are used with poor quality water, or pH unstable media, such as rockwool. High growth rates can also destabilize pH.
3 Types Of Growers That Can Benefit Besides Soil pH Watering From pH up and down

Large Scale Indoor Farming Growers
Standard Hydroponics runs our formula a bit higher then leading brands so you get longer lasting pH levels so you dont have to adjust as much.

Coco Coir or Soil Growers From Watering Plants and Checking water Run offs for pH
Grow media like coco peat needs about 5.8 to 6.3 ph and a flush of pH 6.8 to 7.0, as well as in soil you can read the slurry in soil ( MUD ) pH or check the water run off in tray to see what pH is.
use pH Meter for this

Basement Growers
If you use growing media – rock wool ror advanced growers then you can use pH up and down to yield better results with nutrients Intake to the plants.

Hydroponics, Soilless Grow Bags or Coco ~ 5.5 – 6.5 pH
For hydroponic growing setups (as well as soilless growing mediums like coco coir) an optimum root zone pH is between 5.5 and 6.5. This is slightly more acidic than the optimal root pH for growing in soil.
It’s a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same pH number.
Our team of Ph.D have known and practice running our pH at 5.3 ph at grow stage then going to 6.8 as your flower seems to have less lockouts and more growth along with alot of aeration in the water.

4 STEPS TO BE A pH GROW MASTER First Calibrate Your pH Meter or Use Drops – Test Strips
PH is the measure of how “acidic” or “alkaline” something is, on a 1-14 scale. A pH of “7” is considered neutral, for example pure water has a pH of about 7. The measurements of pH has to do with the concentration of hydrogen in the sample. A grower can measure the pH of a water sample using special pH tester drops or a digital pH pen, like the one shown here my pocket.

For PH Down – Never Mix Nutrients or Supplements Directly With Each other Or You will Have A Major Bummer
For PH Down – 1 mL/gallon of water will generally reduce your pH about 1 point. That’s just a very rough estimate, but gives you a starting point. In imperial measurements, will reduce the ph pH by 1 point.

For PH UP
For PH UP – PH Up is not potent stuff! It actually has a very weak effect. Compared to PH Down you will need to add much more PH Up to adjust the pH by the same amount. With PH Up, depending on how hard your water is you need to add 2-4mL/gallon of water to raise the pH 1 point. In imperial measurements that’s 0.4-0.8tsp/gallon.

Soil ~ 6.0 – 7.0 pH
In the wild, Many plants prefers a slightly acidic soil environment. For soil an optimum root zone pH for plants is between 6.0 and 7.0, with the most time spent with a pH between 6.2 – 6.9. It’s a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same pH number.

Samantha Cox –
Good product
Works well, as advertised. This is before applying to plants but after adjusting water pH. Pretty easy. A little goes a long way!
LarryC –
Work well as pH adjusting solutions
The solutions work perfectly. I was able to drop the pH in my table top hydroponic system 0.3 pH units with 1mL. The pipettes were very helpful. The bottles and pipettes came packaged combined in a sealed plastic bag so there was no risk of spillage in the shipping box.
R. Ellis –
It does what it advertises.
Pretty straight forward, it does what it’s supposed to do. A few drops increased the PH of my media and a drop or two if I go over to lower it. It works for my tissue culture media just fine.
Tommy Acker –
I have it on standby. ð«¡
Started using the red to pull the pH down. trouble with pH meters to measure soil pH, never got to the liquid pH tester, discovered pH is a lower ranking concern in growing cannabis, I am growing in soil.
Carl –
Seems to do the job
Product did what it was intended to do. It did however seem to take alot to get ph down or up. For 5 gallons of water at around 7+ph id say to get it to 5 it took around 30ml. This is the only product like this I’ve ever used; so it could be a normal amount.
Sam –
Will buy again
Great product I believe its a generic brand but works. Also came with extra droppers which was nice.
Michael B –
not worth it if its watered down
Not nearly strong enough, it’s watered down.

Ph up and down
Works as it should
