Works for coconut allergy!
I am allergic to coconut and coconut oil derivatives. Any hair products with a trace would cause sores on my scalp. I researched and found there aren’t many products that are coconut oil free. some of the acids may not say coconut but when I research them, they are made from coconut. I was skeptical when my stylist mixed the shampoo, as the consistency was like water. The conditioner was a bit thicker but not much. Once she applied it to my hair, however, a rich lather formed. I finally have a shampoo that doesn’t cause dandruff and sores. I went natural last year and it has enough moisture for my very thick 4B hair.

Too perfumey!
The perfume smell is terrible and overwhelming. Very disappointing.

Not bad shampoo
So this shampoo is pretty nice. It lathers well and has a nice subtle scent it. I started off with a quarter size amount and found that I actually needed even more. My hair is very long (roughly 22 in with curls) and I found I needed at least 2 quarter size amounts to really feel like there was enough product in my hair to really throughly clean it. I also found on my first attempt it can be easy to over saturate the powder making it too diluted. I find that it works best when I drip a couple drop of water on the powder from my other hand that was the water is controlled and the product can properly mix and lather.I found this shampoo to clean my hair pretty well. It left my hair feeling silky soft on rinse and once dried there not greasy look. I did notice my hair is a bit more frizzy with this product once dried but, it also feels very soft and clean. All in all I do like this product. It will be convenient for travel and the bottle claims it lasts significantly longer than traditional liquid shampoo. Since Iâve only used the product once, I canât quite comment on how this bottle will hold up longer as opposed to traditional liquid shampoo. But, as a shampoo I am happy with this product and would recommend it. It just take a little bit more product for longer hair like my own. (This is the first powder shampoo I have ever used)

Works well
I travel often for work and keep this in my suitcase for the times that my hotel room conditioner smells like old spice

Best as a travel shampoo, not regular shampoo; learning curve; lots of fragrance
I like the concept of this shampoo, and I definitely think it has a good purpose – for use in while traveling. It’s lightweight and you don’t have to worry about it breaking or spilling (so much less of a mess than a busted shampoo bottle). If you are going on a longer trip but don’t want to bring a big bottle, this will get you far.Despite that, I don’t think it’s really that practical or my favorite as an everyday shampoo. It has a lot of fragrance (and it’s a good fragrance, I will admit, floral and musky) and I had a hard time getting the ratio of water and product right. And it’s just a lot of work. You have to open the cap, put the powder in one hand, put the product and cap back so it doesn’t drip water down into it, then slowly start adding water until you get the right consistency, which is definitely a learning curve – the first couple times I ended up adding regular shampoo because it didn’t feel like it was cleaning my hair. It does work well once you get it right. But why would I want to use this when I can get a bottle of shampoo that dispenses in 1 pump and works just fine?Overall, I would rate this average. If you are needing to find a good lightweight shampoo option for a longer trip, this is a good pick. Otherwise it’s a pass.

Perfect for travel
I was impressed with how well this conditioner moisturized my hair, considering it came in powder form. It was easy to ‘lather’ up and then I left it in for two minutes as directed. The scent was mild and pleasant. The very best part is the fact it’s in a powder, so I don’t have to worry about it spilling all over my other toiletries during travel. This was a first, so now I’m going to look for this in shampoo and soap format too. So cool!

Not great for my moisture starved curly hair.
Overall I don’t think this is a terrible product. I think in general it just doesn’t play well with my 3a curls. Using it it felt much more on the drying side than I am used to, enough to the point I used more leave-in condition than I ever have before in my life. It DID impart a good bit of slip to my hair, but it really felt like I’d massively over-rinsed my conditioner out and I knew brushing through this would have been unpleasant.I could see it working for straighter more hydrated hair, particularly in a traveling and needing to minimize liquid container situation. It IS lightweight, I don’t think it’d hinder body much. The smell on it is really nice, the form is really compact and it does feel like a little of the product goes a long way. Getting the water to powder ratio was a bit awkward. Just stood in the shower kinda dampening my palm and swirling. If you powder first then water the bottom can get a little gummy and cling. I’m sure with practice it’d come more naturally. I love the novelty of this concept. Less waste would be fantastic in this sense. Wish it were more practical for me.
