Great mini safari animal setâ¦but they are smallâ¦great for sensory bins!
We love Thinkbay products in our household and this set is no different. While they are miniatures, they are still very well made. They all stand well on their own with the exception of the giraffe. This little guy has such thin legs it makes it hard to stand on his own without manipulating them a bit first. Our toddler doesnât care at all, but itâs worth noting since heâs one of the most loved animals in the set. There are a good array of animals included in this 12pc set. The attention to detail is of good quality, much like the larger versions from this brand. The size would make them a choking hazard for littles, thus the 3+ age rating. I was worried our toddler wouldnât like them because they were smaller, but on the contrary, he went and played with them in the sand table and was âhidingâ them and then cleaning them off. They would be great for small prizes or sensory bins! The included puzzle is a cute addition for engaging further play, but the puzzle will be better for kids older than 3, unless youâre doing it with them to assist. Overall, the price is very reasonable given the figures and the puzzle. They remind me of the mini animals you get in the tubes, but without the high price tag. We have come to love this brandâs toys and continue to add to our littleâs collection.

Fun puzzle and animals – needs better packaging.
I received this set of a 20â round puzzle plus animal figurines from North America.The box was pretty small for everything packed inside and came a bit banged up.This box is not really big enough to store all the pieces and I plan to find an alternative box.The puzzle itself contains larger pieces (though not as large as some young child level puzzles) and I found them to be of interesting shapes that made putting it together more fun. The round nature of the puzzle also gives it a unique flair. The printed picture is just a bit dark and not as sharp but not enough to really cause an issue. The pieces fit together easily and came apart normally. The quality of the pieces is pretty much on par with any average puzzle. I did notice a couple frayed corners and one slightly bent tab – but this was right out of the box and I think is due to the box just being to small and everything crowded inside. Other pieces were fine.The animals are smaller than I expected and not safe for very young children (swallowing risk.) But this puzzle is really not meant for younger children. The puzzle and animals would work best for kids around age 6-9. There are quite a few varied animals making a good representation of North America wildlife. The orangish deer would not stand up as the position of its hoofs just didnât promote it. The rest did fine.My biggest gripe other than the box is the picture. It is simply a small thin paper with the picture printed. Kids need a good image to copy. A full sized box with the image printed on the front (like most puzzles have) would solve most of these issues. I plan to scan and make a larger copy of the picture.I only took off one star for these issues as I did enjoy putting the puzzle together, and I know my grandkids will enjoy the animals too. The play value is still there.Just need a better box.

Excellent Puzzle with Animals – Good Quality!
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this one… I guess I missed the part there was a puzzle included. I ordered this just for the animals to play with my grandson. This is actually much better with the puzzle, as now we have one more activity to play with the animals. Pulled the puzzle pieces out and they all fit well (we’ve had a few in the past where they were too tight or crappy fits). This puzzle is good quality and he’s at the age where he doesn’t need to giant puzzle pieces, but not quite ready for the small puzzle pieces.This set is excellent for having the puzzle, the picture for the puzzle, and the animals to set while putting the puzzle together! 5 Stars all around!!PROS: You get quite a bit in the set.CONS: One or two of the animals had bent legs when we got them, but we just sort of bent them back. They keep falling, but hey… animals sleep, right? I don’t think my grandson is going to mind when we’re playing.

Fun toddler puzzle/activity
I ordered this as an activity to do with my toddler until he is old enough to complete it on his own. He loves it! The graphic/design on the puzzle pieces is very clear and vibrant. The animal figurines are also accurately depicted, however some of them (like the giraffe) have a hard time standing and staying up. Other than that though, I have no complaints with this and have enjoyed playing with it with my toddler as he has so much fun with it. It is definitely worth the cost!

These safari animal figures are fantastic! The set includes a great variety of animals: lion, giraffe, elephant, zebra, and mor all with realistic details and vibrant and detailed colors. Each figure is made from durable, solid plastic that feels sturdy but not too heavy for small hands. Theyâre the perfect size for preschoolers to hold and play with safely, and they stand upright easily on flat surfaces. (Except fod the giraffe)Iâve been using them in my preschool classroom, and theyâve held up wonderfully through daily play. No paint chipping or broken pieces, even with lots of rough toddler handling. The animals are also great for imaginative play, sorting, and learning activities â theyâve sparked so many creative jungle adventures!For the price, this set offers excellent value. The quality feels much higher than other toy sets in the same range. Iâd definitely recommend these safari animals to parents, teachers, or anyone looking for engaging and durable toys for young children.
