Product description

Dedicated Design & Wide Compatibility:This power adapter is specifically engineered for the Starlink Mini router, delivering a stable 30V output from a 10V-28V input to ensure seamless compatibility with cars, trucks, RVs, boats, and outdoor setups. The custom DC plug prevents accidental use with non-Starlink devices, safeguarding against damage.
Durability & Safety:Crafted with flame-retardant, UV-resistant, and cold-resistant down to -30°C materials, the cable features an IP68 waterproof casing to withstand extreme weather, dust, and corrosion. Reinforced with 14AWG thick wiring and a seamless aluminum casing, it guarantees safe, long-lasting performance even under high-current loads.
Intelligent Protection & Stable Output:Equipped with smart temperature control (auto-adjusts at 65-70°C) and multi-layer safeguards including overload, over-current, and short-circuit protection. A built-in fuse prevents instant current surges, while boost technology eliminates voltage fluctuations, ensuring stable 100W power delivery for uninterrupted connectivity.
Efficient Power Conversion:The 12V-24V to 30V step-up converter maintains consistent output unaffected by input voltage drops or spikes. Ideal for off-grid use, it reliably powers your Starlink router in RVs, campsites, or remote locations without network interruptions. If your router enters a cycle restart state and cannot function properly, please check if the voltage at your power output terminal is below 9V.
Portability & User-Friendly Operation:The plug-and-play design simplifies setup—no extra connectors or tools required. Just plug into a cigarette lighter or DC port for instant power. Perfect for travelers, truck drivers, and outdoor enthusiasts needing mobile connectivity on the go.

Works fine. Use case is a permanent installation or something
I ordered this 12V adapter for powering a starlink mini while it was mounted under a sunroof chatting with satellites. Iâm not using it for that. Instead Iâm using a device that converts the voltage in the 12V thingus. That thing does the job. It turns out that this device with the heat sunk voltage converter is way more than I needed. I think it would be great for a different use case. Something like running a 12V line through the headliner and then into this deviceâs power conversion head. I tested this thing and it worked fine as a power source for a few days. Itâs good quality and has all the functionality needed, but that simpler device I settled on also has the functionality -and- is easier to deal with.

Comes with *most* of what you need but was not spliced correctly or wired
The image depicts everything wired together however the actual connector was broken and wires were not together. I had to re-splice it and connect up with my own connectors.Otherwise I like how it came with the 12-30v step up converter, nice water resistant gasket Starlink barrel connector, and 12v male plug. Mostly everything you need but make sure you have access to some simple electrical connectors.

A very good Starlink Mini power adapter.
It’s a 12 volt to 30 volt step-up converter. Simply connect the wires with the included connector, red to red, black to black and it’s ready to go. It’s so easy I had my 7 year old do it both for his education but to show how easy it was. I like that I can easily choose a different style power connector like an Anderson 30 amp style as I have several battery boxes that already have that connector. It powers the mini just fine without a hiccup. The 12 volt cord is about 6 foot and the power output cord is only 3 foot. It wish it was the other way around as the higher voltage will have less power loss in longer cable runs. But the power converter appears waterproof so I’m not worried about leaving that part out if it rains. Overall it’s good quality and doesn’t get hot.I might be able to buy the parts cheaper and put this together myself but buying all of it together sure makes it easy.

Works
This power supply does work. It operated a Starlink mini from a running car’s lighter port. The wires on the power brick itself do appear to be approximately 14GA. The wire on the lighter plug appears much smaller diameter, but much longer length than pictured. It was fine with the car running, but if the car is off, with a lower battery voltage, the current increases. Since the power brick wire and lighter wire must be user joined through lever wire connectors, there is ample possibility for a high resistance connection. Be careful with the connection and feel for excess heat buildup. I appreciate the built in Starlink cable without splices on the output. And the opportunity to add my own direct to battery wiring eventually, while using the lighter wire today. Stars are lost because it isn’t quite as pictured.

GIVES CONSTANT POWER
I installed this on my trailer to give the Starlink mini the consistent voltage it wants. This allows me to have 30V constant power already set up to the trailer so I can set up the Starlink in whatever configuration the location we are camping requires. We’re soon leaving to travel from California to Ohio, and this should work great on those side trips off the main highways.

Reliable Power for Starlink Mini, But Cable Design Limits Mounting Options
This is an excellent 12V to 30V step-up converter. The Starlink Mini is notoriously finicky about power input, and this unit delivers clean, stable voltage without issue. Itâs well built, runs cool, and performs reliably even under load from my Anker Solix C1000 backup power supply. However, I have to deduct a star for the delivery-side cable design. The fixed short cable limits mounting flexibility, especially in mobile setups like a camper. A better design would have used a female socket on the output side, allowing users to choose their own cable length. Including a short male-to-male pigtail would have preserved plug-and-play simplicity while vastly improving versatility. As it stands, mounting this converter requires either modifying the unit or placing it adjacent to the dish, which is an impractical option when the dish is roof-mounted. Itâs not suitable for my original use case, but Iâve repurposed it as a backup power source. If youâre comfortable with the cable limitations, itâs a solid performer.

Itâs totally necessary
As you can expect voltage drop when using 12 volt power sources, this little DC to DC converter will step up your 12 volt source to the Starlinkâs favored 30 volt DC power. With this little converter you get a far more stable power supply with much fewer voltage related drop-outs â specially useful when you extend the power cord to a more useful length. Itâs totally necessary and easily installed.

Good power supply, boosts voltage as promised.
Needed to do some final connection of components when I got this but it only took a moment. I verified the power with a meter before hooking up to the starlink but provided the voltage boost promised in the listing and then seems to power the starlink just fine. This is a nice alternative to use DC 12V to power it but get that added power needed for stable function depending on your power source.
