Happy there’s a replacement available!
I have three cats and two of these scratch posts, and all three absolutely love them. They prefer jute to sisal so the posts see a lot of use. A while back I tried to find replacements and couldn’t, and none of the other brands available would fit this exact size, so I ended up re-stringing them myself with jute. Even though I used quality jute and they looked pretty good, they ended up not lasting nearly as long as the original, and the amount of glue I used meant I could likely only restring them once. I’m so glad there’s an original replacement available now – so much less time-consuming and longer-lasting than doing it myself.The replacements come with hardware which I found unnecessary since I already had the bolts from the worn out ones, but it’s a nice touch from the company. Tip: when screwing on the bottom of the post, it’s easier to use the allen wrench to hold the screw in place and just twist the post onto it rather than holding the post and turning the wrench underneath.

Perfect replacement! Our cats had destroyed the other ones from the set. Great to know we can replace them. These would also be great for a DIY cat house or wall with a little bit of wood working skills

Why change the size?
I love these cat scratcher posts! Why do you change the circumference size of the replacement parts? Much smaller. Doesnât make sense. Please make replacement parts the same size we originally purchased with the kit. These parts fit but I donât like the size difference. I have two installed in my home and I have another as a gift. This is a bummer that you changed the size. Doesnât look as good.Photos show the difference with the original parts and replacement parts.

Not the right size AND….
These replacement posts were supposed to be the ones that came with my original post that was 4.5 inches diameter. These came and were a full one inch smaller and the quality seemed lower. No plastic end pieces and the sisal was thinner.
