Not equally cut but still work fine
They’re fine and pretty closely resemble the fluval foam inserts but some of them are not cut equally and don’t quite fit for their purpose which is a tad frustrating. Still worth it for the price though compared to how much fluval charges for less.

Ok so I bought these sponges to cut to size for my fishtank an have Xtra on hand, when I received them I thought they were too thin and I’d have to buy another kind then I wet them and they tripled in size! I absolutely love these sponges and there a great price! Will definitely buy again when needed

Puffed right on UP!
Not what we expected. Maybe I missed it on the description but the 6 foam filters came in a precut flat sheet. Broke one off and placed in water for 5-10 mins per directions and it puffed right up like a normal filter. Replaced old filter with new one and it is filtering like it should.

Unfortunately Amazon does not offer a zero star review because this product would certainly earn it. 1st, unlike the picture “suggests”, these come vacuum sealed to about 1/4 inch thickness. The instructions indicate to soak in water for 10-15 minutes to decompress. it does take the full 15 minutes but I could have lived with that if not for a far more serious issue. After soaking for 15 minutes and allowing to dry, the sponges had a very strong chemical or bleach smell. So strong that it would permeate your hands just wringing out. I tried soaking them for another hour and left them outside to air out and the smell is still there. Since these are made as filters for an aquarium I would not take the chance of using them for fear of harming my fish. Terrible product. do not use!!
