Sturdy, well-sized tank with beautiful view, but needs extra filtration for optimal water quality
This 8-gallon fish tank starter kit is really well-built and feels sturdy, with clear glass that gives a nice 360° crystal view. The size is great for a single betta or a few small fish, and the LED lighting and quiet operation make it look and run nicely. That said, the built-in Eco-Cycle filter is a bit underpowered for keeping the water perfectly clean on its own. To handle the bioload, Iâve added two smaller internal filters with configurable media along with the built-in filtration, which keeps the water quality stable and healthy for my fish. Overall, the tank is solid and visually appealing, but Iâd recommend supplementing the included filter if you want optimal water quality.

I got a replacement tank for my broken tank , the top was melted.
All the buttons on top quit working. It’s missing the carbon filter.

Disappointed in the filter
I agree with the reviews here. The filter is so strong, and I am missing a lot of parts it says it comes with like suction cups. I think this tank is worth it, just need the filter to come with all the attachments.

Makes feeding much easier
I havenât used the bloodworm filter, but the ring alone is worth it and I wish Iâd gotten it a long time ago! The filter used to slowly blow the food around the tank, and my betta would lose a piece. Iâd be carefully feeding him one pellet at a time in a low-flo corner, dropping right in front of him, counting how many he ate, and it would be very fussy. I set this up in the same corner – he got used to it in a day – and now I can drop all the pellets in at once. None get lost. Itâs so much easier! And itâs the right size too. Not too huge. Kinda cheap and chintzy but for the price and purpose whoâs complaining?
