Well constructed bed for your velcro cat
Well constructed bamboo cat bed with a soft furry lining inside will make any cat feel like a king or queen. The design is innovative as it allows your cat to comfortably hang out next to you without blocking your computer screen or sitting on your keyboard. Kittens always love to hang next to their owners and it has always been a fear of mine to accidentally step on them or roll over the tail with my computer chair so always knowing where my cats are gives me a sense of security and relief.The material is excellent as the bed is made from bamboo which has been sanded and a clear coat applied so no worries about splinters. The inside has a soft furry pad which my cat loves to sit on, however not the easiest to clean as I had to use a small hand vacuum and a lint roller to clean it since my cats sheds a lot. The stand and clamp are made of heavy solid steel and although the bed did not come with any instructions, there are only a few parts so it is easy to figure out how to put together the bed just by looking on Amazon website.Important things to know before buying this cat bed: inside dimensions is 15.25â x 11.25â and although the bed can hold up to 55 pounds per the website, the bed can probably accommodate a cat up to 12 pounds comfortably and probably up to 18 pounds if your cat sleeps with the body in the center of the bed and hangs out their head or paws. The clamp can only accommodate up to 2.25 inches which should accommodate most desks or tables, however it did not fit on my bar table which was had a thicker table. There is a vice clamp that can be adjusted to allow the clamp a tight fit onto your table top. In my photo you will see that I was able to clamp it also to my beautiful cat tree to add another space for the cats to sit so you are not limited to clamping this cat bed to just tables.Good price for such a well-made piece of cat furniture.

Nice but not as versatile as expected
To be fair, I was a Kickstarter pledge to the original Cat Desk Nest and have a couple of them so I have a high bar on nest beds. I also have four cats…so you can never have too many beds 😛 This one is nice. The wood bed seems solid but made of lightweight wood. It says it swings 360°, but that is only if you unscrew the set screws which require a special tool. Not something you can do on the fly. The bed is on the small size, but big enough for a regular size cat. The padding on the bed is rather thin but the faux fur seems to make it comfortable. It does a good job of keeping a low footprint on the desk and your kitty raised. However, the screw on the bottom has a rather small foot to secure it. Mine keeps moving ever so slightly when a kitty jumps in it. I’ll probably put some sticky rubber on it to keep it more secure. It was fairly easy to put together BUT it came with no instructions. I originally tried to screw the base in from the bottom and it will totally NOT work like that. It has to be screwed in through the bed into the frame. There is also another piece that is on the post that needs to STAY on the post for it to work. It is a little tight getting it together, but if you take it off (assuming it was just packaging) the post will not secure. It is pretty – and will work for most folks with kitties on the smaller size.

My cats wishes come true
my cat loves this new bed – she has the option to sit on my lap on lay on her cozy bed. My cat Insists on being part of every teams call and keyboard session. She used to sprawl across my laptop or knock pens off my desk just to get attention. This hammock changed everything. I work from home so adding this to my desk set up is top tier. The bed is lined with soft fleece, which is gentle on joints and suitable for year-round use with a natural touch and durability, some might prefer a more plush or padded base my senior cat prefers the stable padding for her joints.o tools, no drama. I clipped it to the side of my desk in under two minutes. The clamps felt sturdy, and the bamboo base gave it a clean, modern look that didnât clash with my workspace. At first, my fur baby was skeptical but once she realized she could lounge right next to me and still keep an eye on the birds outside, she claimed it as her throne. The fleece lining isnât ultra-plush, but itâs cozy enough for her to nap for hours. I sometimes toss a small blanket in there for extra padding. I can swing it out of the way when I need space or bring it closer when she wants cuddles. Itâs like having a little cat satellite orbiting my productivity zone. A few suggestions – if your desk has a lip or isnât super sturdy, the clamps might need adjusting. My cat is about 12 pounds, and it holds her easily â but I wouldnât push the 55 lb limit unless youâve got a Maine Coon with dreams of being an astronaut.Overall, itâs not just a cat bed â itâs a peace treaty between me and Luna. She gets her perch, I get my desk back, and we both get to hang out without the chaos.

No directions, but seems sturdy
Came with ZERO instructions, but it wasn’t terribly difficult to figure out how to get together. Seems fairly stable, adjustible, can fit multiple desk thicknesses. The fuzzy pad is very soft but not super cushiony. If you have a cat who likes beds, they’ll probably dig this.My cat (who is admittedly a little odd) liked it better before I took it out of the box. But I have learned lately that she doesn’t actually like beds, so that’s no fault of the product. She’d rather just be on my lap or laptop.I took one star off for the lack of directions.
